MASO RISTORANTE — Restaurant in Follonica

We are in Follonica for a week and we were looking for a nice restaurant for lunch. What a surprise we had! We found Maso ristorante on Trip Advisor and decided to go, as it appeared open for lunch. So we put the address in Waze and Waze made us drive for 15 kilometers in a nearby town where we found no restaurant. Apparently it was an old address which was not updated. We tried Google maps and we finally got to the restaurant in Follonica. Only to find out that it is closed for lunch. Il Maso ristorante, propone piatti di mare e terra. Noi nello specifico abbiamo provato, portate di mare. Il personale in maniera cordiale ci ha accolti al nostro tavolo, portandoci acqua e menù. Gli antipasti scelti sono stati il baccalà pastellato e il calamaro scottato . Veloce il servizio e piatti curati, materie prime molto buone. L'attesa per il primo è stata più lunga, abbiamo provato i loro gnocchi al nero di seppia e il risotto con triglie e lardo. Porzioni normali, cottura perfetta. Andando ai secondi, la scelta è ricaduta sul fritto misto e il tonno alla piastra. Quest'ultimo un buon piatto, ben fatto. La frittura nella norma,niente di eccelso, ho mangiato fritture fatte molto meglio. Abbiamo accompagnato il pranzo con una bollicina di Pitigliano, della Tenuta Montauto. Abbiamo terminato con il dolce, un soufflé al cioccolato bianco che richiede 20 Min di preparazione, dei 3 ordinati 1 era completamente diverso al suo interno molto più liquido, abbiamo subito chiesto al cameriere che è prontamente informato in cucina per l'accaduto.
