BLESS — Restaurant in Gaeta

We could not recommend Bless enough - a beautiful place with fresh delicious food and wine and the loveliest hosts.

We visited on two occasions, once for breakfast and once for an evening meal. Alessandro and Francesca were so welcoming on both occasions and made us feel so special - all the staff were lovely and friendly and went above and beyond. I am vegan but my partner is not and even though they do not have labelled vegan options they catered for me - I am still thinking about Francesca's granola and the serve delicious coffee and juices.

Alessandro explained that Francesca would be able to prepare a vegan evening meal for me so we booked in for the following night. She prepared five courses for my partner and I - vegan for me and regular for him - and every single bite was delicious. The wine was impeccable and Alessandro is so knowledgeable. It was so lovely to chat to them both and learn about their history working with food - and I was happy to find Francesca and I had a shared love for the Artic Monkeys! I will never forget leaving the restaurant at the end of an evening full of delicious food and wine listening to the Artic Monkeys playing.

Bless was a huge highlight of our stay in Gaeta and I highly recommend to anyone staying/living in Gaeta or the surrounding area. While my wife and I typically like to bounce around to different restaurants, we ended up coming here for dinner twice so that we could try more of their menu.

Particular highlights for us were the lobster, the Steak Tartare, and the Courgette Lasagna, though everything was outstanding. Throughout our dining experience, the chef Francesca and her husband Alessandro provided friendly, attentive, and informative service, giving us recommendations for wine pairings and for other places to stop on our trip, both in and outside of Gaeta. The quality of the food and the presentation of each dish were indicative of a high quality fine dining experience, while the personalities of the staff added a comfortable, local feel. Passion, excellence and joy.

We stoped at first to have some drinks and snacks to enjoy the wonderful atmosphere that the restaurant is situated in.

We sat down, had a look at the menu that was interesting, clean and delicate. Then we meet Alessandro, the storytelling, passion and the thoughts connected to everything, the place, the food & drinks made us quickly decide to try the menu. We started with drinks(Negroni Verde for me, beautiful and tasty)and snacks to see if Alessandro’s passion would be reflected in the tastes of the food. It was, we ended up ordering everything on the menu that was simple yet broad in taste prepared by Francesca in the kitchen.

We decided quite quickly that we will return to try the breakfast, it was equally great.
