Cena con ottimo inizio... E finale con qualche perplessità. Accoglienza estremamente cordiale da parte di una signora molto simpatica, la quale consegna il menù indicando subito cosa c'è in aggiunta come piatti del giorno...a seguire, la stessa signora prende le ordinazioni dando spontaneamente dei consigli, con fare disinvolto e molto piacevole... voto 10. Arriva subito una mini focaccia di benvenuto con pesto spalmabile, ben presentata con "per voi, prego, nell'attesa assaggiate.." e assolutamente ben gradita...voto 10+. Arrivano rapidamente i piatti ordinati: antipasto molto buono e ben presentato, seguito da un primo ricco e gustoso...voto confermato 10+. Sembra tutto quasi perfetto... Ma ci sono comunque alcune "pecche", su aspetti basilari:
This spot was fantastic! From the second we walked in the service was fantastic and the calamari was sooo good! We asked the waiter where the bus stop was to get back to the train station and he not only told us but then looked up the time schedule for us. After the waiter realized the bus was not going to get us back in time to make the train. Someone who spoke good English came out of the kitchen and not only helped us come up with a plan but also arranged for us to get a private taxi to come pick us up in town and take us to make our train. I really enjoyed staying here and how they were able to accommodate my girlfriend with a Cacio e Pepe (It was not too crowded).
I had amazing ravioli filled with fish, also the dish decoration was very cool.
Probably the octopus recipe can be improved I don't like the combination with Chorizo. I had a similar experience in Scotland with fresh fish. Same reaction. It is not great to mix a fatty meat like chorizo with the flavours of an Octopus, you will cover the Octopus taste in some ways, it is definitely unbalanced.
