Touring the little village of Montefusco on an afternoon day trip my Zio & Papa wanted to grab a quick bite and suggested a pizza and we stumbled upon the restaurant Vintage. Once inside we learned pizza wasn’t an option due to time of day and we decided to try a pasta dish. Looking at the menu on the wall what stood out to me personally was the Fusilli with Tomato Pomodoro along with all the little vintage pictures displayed in the dining area. I guess for a second it triggered a memory as a young adult my mom making pasta with my dad watching them work as a team and enjoying the fruits of their labor the next day typical Sunday. Later on in life this treat was present during holidays with my own family enjoying delicious fresh pasta made by Nona & Nono by the pounds! I thought I would never experience that again until now. When the food was served by Ana the chefs awesome wife, I can say I was pleasantly surprised that the look and taste of a simple but crafty pasta dish was an exact duplicate of my mother’s love of family and food! Chef, Maurizio from his own background growing up with Italian in his blood knew exactly the technique and ingredients needed to bring to me, my dad, and Zio something that I will cherish as much as I cherish those vintage days of growing up in an Italian house with fresh pasta being made and served as fresh and delicious as you can imagine. Someday when I return to Italy I will make it a must to go to Vintage to eat vintage dishes of food that taste as good as your mothers and also have the fortunate of great memories of my childhood and more importantly my family as I eat. I was so happy to have meet chef, Maurizio, His wife, Ana, and his young daughter, Sophia it’s nice to see traditional cooking and values continue in today’s instant gratification culture which doesn’t appreciate “Vintage” cooking or culture anymore, hopefully that will change! Chef, Maurizio, His wife, Ana, and his young daughter, Sophia are friendly to talk too and have interesting background and stories to tell. They bring traditional cooking and values in a relaxing atmosphere. If I lived there I would eat there every Sunday!

Cheesecake fatta in casa, superlativa. Rapporto qualità prezzo ottimo. Locale pulitissimo. Servizio impeccabile. Ci torneremo prestissimo.
