10/10 would come again! Finally came to this after being told to come over and over and over again, and how good and amazing everything was! The expectations were over the roof and they were all met! The staff was super friendly and helpful! The food was just amazing! The trippa with beans (small plate just to try) was divine! Amazingly well cooked! So tender it was melting and so full of flavours! The pasta with sugo di cervo was out of this world! So so rich of flavours! First time trying cervo and I was completely blown away! The mandilli al pesto are a staple when in Genova! The mandilli were perfectly cooked and the pesto tasted so good! There wasn’t even need for additional parmigiano! To top it all off the panna cotta was just wow! I don’t know if they make it homemade, but it sure does seem so! I haven’t had panna cotta in years and this one was just perfect! Not pictured, but their bread is also top tier! Soft on the inside and just right on the crunch on the outside! This place is definitely a must when in Genova! We were 3 and we spent 58€ (with drinks and coffee)

A distanza di tempo, siamo tornati con una coppia di amiche e abbiamo provato un menù più ampio( 4 primi di base, con altri 2 subito dopo...e 4 secondi) Riconfermo supreme le trofie al pesto...anche se i miei compagni di goduria hanno tutti favorito i mandilli; ragù d lepre al pari delle pappardelle ai funghi (Stasera decisamente carichi!!) Uno speciale ringraziamento anche a Dario e alla sua meravigliosa torta di cocco, mango e cioccolato...un fuori menù che ci ha sciolti da quando era dolce e buonissimo!!! Ragazzi che dire, siete favolosi!!! La cuoca Rosalba è sempre superba, Barbara sei sempre il nostro mito PR ❤ Raffaele sei tu il vero uomo che tira avanti la baracca!!! Grandissima stima a tutti voi, alla passione che mettete!!! Come sempre, c vediamo prestooo

Pranzo di compleanno in famiglia da cinque stelle senza dubbi. I primi, freschissimi, sono serviti caldi e senza la classica acqua di scollatura della pasta nel piatto. Pesto delicato, trippa cotta alla perfezione e punto forte le polpette: non un riciclo secco ma succose e saporite con qualche traccia anche di mortadella. Non sono passati inosservati nemmeno lo stoccafisso e le acciughe presi da altri commensali. Il tutto è stato completato da dolci della casa semplici ma dai sapori autentici. Fortemente consigliato soprattutto se apprezzate il personale amichevole ed a conduzione familiare. Obbligatorio prenotare: il locale è piccolo ed i coperti sono un po ammassati ma prenotando in tempo siamo stati con una tavolata da 8 senza problemi.

I am in the USA since 2001, going back to Italy and having a meal in this place, brought me back to my childhood with all the fantastic food that my mom and grandma' used to cook, the food is out off the charts, the staff is very friendly and accommodating and the atmosphere...…. yes I felt at home. I absolutely recommend this place if you want to have the real Italian...

Mi trovavo in zona e dovevo mangiare... Spesso mi è capitato di mangiare di fronte, nella trattoria che porta il nome del simbolo di Genova. Discreta ma econonicissima. Visto che la zona è quella che è(zona di uffici e lavoratori in pausa), e visto che è contornata da locali economici anche se fuori non si vede né menù né prezzi sono entrato. (pensavo euro più euro meno...) Il menù è abbastanza vario... Il primo è stato ai funghi ed era molto buono. Il secondo l'ho condiviso, quindi ho potuto assaggiare sia carne che pesce e devo ammettere che sono stati entrambi deliziosi. La nota a mio parere negativa (e sottolineo a mio parere) è stato quando sono arrivato in cassa... 2 primi 2 secondi 2caffe e una boccia di vino 60.... un po' troppo... considerando anche l'effetto sorpresa ci sono rimasto male. D'altronde (questa è brutta e solo per vaccinati) è la tariffa standard in zona 😅 E la sorpresa fa sempre...
