The views are breathtaking and Daniele is a nice host. Unfortunately, the food both quantity and the quality were not what we expected based on the reviews.

The only offer a set menu and no choices are available. What is on offer on the day is what you get. However, as we don't eat pork Daniele was able to accommodate that by removing the salami options from the cheese board and by replacing a pork dish with a chicken.

As an appetizer, there were a few small slices of pecorino with home made pepper jam (the jam was very nice) and basic bruscheta with tomatoes and with onions. As mentioned, we don't eat pork but no replacement for salami was offered. Perhaps, more slices of cheese would have been nice as cheese was the best thing we had here. Then came a barley and beans soup. I don't eat barley, so my partner had my portion. For the main we were brought two small strips of over fried and very dry chicken schnitzel and the dessert was a small cup of mascarpone with a berry jam and that was all. Wine and water were also included in a fixed price. The wine was basic home made variety. Even though we finished our water and wine, no refills were offered. Despite the average quality of the food, there were a lot of people queuing up and waiting to be seated, so this place is extremely popular. One can assume, it must be the breathtaking setting that draws the crouds and not the food.

If Daniele reads this review, I hope he can take this as constructive feedback. We felt the setting was incredible and Daniele comes across as a nice host. If only he can improve the quality of the food, this restaurant could provide truly...

I’Desío in Montefioralle is an absolute gem! From the moment you step into this charming restaurant, you’re transported to a world of authentic Tuscan flavors and warm hospitality. The incredible team make you feel like family, guiding you through a culinary journey that celebrates the rich traditions of the Chianti countryside.

The fixed menu is a delightful surprise every day, showcasing the freshest seasonal ingredients from local gardens. Each course, from the rich appetizer to the decadent dessert, is a testament to the love and care put into every dish. The wine selection perfectly complements the meal, making the experience even more memorable. Despite arriving during a very busy hour without a reservation, my wife and I were graciously accommodated. The staff went above and beyond to ensure we had a wonderful dining experience, which truly speaks to their exceptional service and dedication to their guests.

One of the highlights was the spectacular view of the vineyards from which the grapes are harvested for the wine we were savoring. It added a magical touch to our meal, making us feel even more connected to the beautiful Tuscan landscape.

Whether you’re celebrating a special occasion or simply enjoying a meal, I’Desío ensures every detail is perfect. The ambiance is cozy and inviting, making it the ideal spot for romantic dates, family gatherings, or corporate events. If you’re looking for an unforgettable dining experience in Tuscany, look no further than I’Desío. Highly...

We had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. The owner himself took care of us — very attentive and kind. He explained that they cook based on what they have available in the kitchen and from their garden, which makes the food feel truly homemade. They even make their own jam and olive oil.

The meal started with bread, garlic, salt, and olive oil, followed by three types of bruschetta: cheese with herbs, caramelized onion, and ragù. Then we had a traditional Tuscan dish called pappa al pomodoro (made with old bread, tomatoes, and herbs), which was hearty and comforting. The main course was pork with mashed potatoes, which was delicious, and for dessert we had biscotti with coffee.

The menu is a 4-course set menu, and it includes house wine (a Chianti), but we ordered a rosé for €20 instead. The total was €40 per person, which felt very fair considering the quality, atmosphere, and the breathtaking view.

If I could, I’d give it 4.5 stars — a truly authentic...

The whole concept is simply amazing. The owner is such a sympathetic guy, with gastronomy and hosting clearly in his DNA. The set menu includes many courses, paired with wine and coffee. Each dish is explained in detail, and the servers even point out the exact fields where the ingredients come from - right in front of you. The flavors are authentic, rich, and unforgettable. It truly feels like being invited to a local’s home for a meal. Honestly, it was one of the most beautiful gastronomic experiences I’ve ever had. I loved it so much that I even brought home a bottle of the owner’s wine for the evening. By the way - their pork with sage sauce and roasted vegetables is something I’ll remember for a very long time. Next time I’m in Tuscany, I’ll definitely find accommodation nearby so I can come for lunch more often. 😊 Greetings from Jan and Dilan!

My favourite ever meal in Italy. We stopped by and managed to get a beautiful table - but I would recommend booking as we were very lucky and it was very busy! There is no menu. You get a set course meal made from local ingredients and it changes daily. This means you try some incredible food (they also ask you for allergies, food you don't like, etc, to cater to you). Wine is included and the meal is an extremely good pri d. The owner was such a charismatic and very proud of his food. made us feel at home. We told him we just got engaged and he made us feel extra special. The food is incredible and they serve one type of wine; a chilled red wine made in the very vineyards you overlook. Overall, it was the best food and dining experience I've ever had in Italy and I will be coming back every time. Thank you!
