Il Carrettino 100% senza glutine — Restaurant in Grosseto

I visited this place with my friend today. We checked the opinions before and we were very curious and excited cause it was the highest rated restaurant in grosseto. The interior is beautiful, vibe is very cozy and stuff was very polite. We are extremely disappointed with food. We ordered Parmigiana for the start and that was the best thing we ate there. The portion was small and overpriced but it was tasty. For the mains we took gnocchi with zucchini sauce. In the menu it was written 'with red shrimps'. As you can see at the photo we got just one shrimp. Gnocchi was fine, but the sauce didn’t have the flavor and in general the dish was on the low level. The second dish we ordered spaghetti with swordfish, eggplant and capers. Again, spaghetti was fine but the sauce was misunderstanding. We were searching for flavor but didn’t find it. Summing up we appreciate that was gluten free and pasta was really nice but doesn’t make the restaurant worth visiting just because of it, if it doesn’t bring good flavor.

Great bread and pizza dough. The service was very slow or disorganised, it took us 2 hours to just have a starter and a pizza, and our neighbours who arrived 30 minutes later were enjoying desert before us, so we chose to just leave, maybe sacrificing the best part to come. The pizza was covered in tons of mozzarella, like in a cheap tourists street take away and the ingredients "underneath it" (yes they place delicate ingredients like artichokes, olives, tuna or cured meat UNDER the boiling hot mozzarella till they dissolve) were totally unrecognisable and tasteless. The arancino was very dry and with just a tiny bit of sauce inside... not the best ingredient to save on, when the rest is just a ball of rice. The fried "coppo" of fish was a skinny portion and unfortunately not the highest fish freshness either. Great idea, fantastic gluten free flours, lovely waiter and great manners but the food ends up being prepared and cooked with the lowest quality. Please change chef, or you ruin a really...

Consigliato dall' agriturismo dove allogiavamo. Andate la prima volta di giovedì e tutto è stato il top dall accoglienza ai cibi al vino.Nell attesa ci hanno portato due bruschette offerte dal locale,e alla fine offerto il limocello. X quanto ci eravamo trovate bene abbiamo pensato di ritornarci il sabato consigliatoci da loro prenotando.Così abbiamo prenotato x le 21..arriviamo lì alle 21,10 chiamando pure x dire ke eravamo un po' in ritardo,abbiamo dovuto aspettare fino alle 21,40 in piedi fuori,il cameriere non riusciva a preparare il tavolo x noi xké era stato occupato prima e essendo da solo non riusciva a sparecchiare e oltretutto eravamo solo in due.Finalmente alle 9,40 ci fa sedere ma anche li non va tanto bene,tavolo apparecchiata un po' così cosi,ordiniamo e ordiniamo anche un calice di vino,avevano finito i bicchieri e ci porta un bicchiere tipo da osteria.Siccome volevamo il vino ke avevamo preso giovedì ma non ci ricordavamo il nome,il cameriere ce ne porta uno è ce lo fa assaggiare,diciamo ke non era quello,allora ce ne porta un altro e lo versa sempre nello stesso bicchiere :( è ce lo fa assaggiare.Ma non era lui,allora decidiamo x l assaggio di prima,riporta il vino di prima e lo versa nello stesso bicchiere senza curarsi ke fosse vuoto o cambiare il bicchiere :( ...Ci siamo passate sopra non era serata visto ke non poteva stare dietro noi essendo da solo in sala con la sala piena..arriviamo alla cena,la mia amica prende un antipasto vegetariano ke dopo tanta attesa le tre ciotoline con le varie degustazioni erano quasi fredde :( e il piatto non era sicuramente da 10 euro :( .il mio invece preso il pesce alla messinese pomodoro e olive,a parer mio andavano le olive quelle nere e non quelle verdi x di più con il nocciolo ke ormai mi rompo un dente..arriviamo al dolce ordiniamo un cannolo siciliano,ma ahimè di ricotta non sapeva ma solo di zucchero :( peccato ...dopo altra attesa ci viene chiesto se volevamo il limoncello offerto dalla casa,ne prendiamo uno solo ma anche li non arriverà mai al tavolo,al ché ci alziamo dal tavolo e mentre ci fa il conto ci sbatte il limoncello sul banco :( ma lo lasciamo li... Direi ke non era serata...consiglio di andare in frasettimana xké comunque ne vale la pena sia il cibo ottimo ke x il cameriere in quanto con pochi tavoli riesce a gestire e ad accoglierti...
