La Macelleria di Romantino — Restaurant in Guardiagrele

What a wonderful great little restaurant. Now run by by the third generation after the butcher shop opened 50 years ago.

The food is fresh, cooked to perfection on the grill and just delicious. My delightful wife had a plate of perfect pasta with lamb meatballs. Perfect!

We weren't totally keen on our 1st wine so,  Tino , very kindly opened a bottle that was not house wine.....and it was just delicious. ( it was a biological wine....do order it!!) The Tiramisu, made in house by Tino's brother, was so delicious ....I had two!

The service was like we were family....it could not have been more friendly and warm. Well done to this lovely family and continued success. The final bill was terrific value. The food, the service, the wine, the value....all just great! DO eat at this wonderful. unassuming...

I recently dined at this restaurant and had an exceptional experience. The food was of excellent quality, and each dish surpassed my expectations. Great little place to eat, friendly staff who did speak a little English but I asked them to speak the menu in Italian as I prefer the authenticity. The food is mostly made by them including the wonderful cooked meats, I can recommend the cold and hot antipasti such excellent quality. An enjoyable experience...
