Lido Cocorita — Restaurant in Isola delle Femmine

We visited your restaurant for the second time today. We were there yesterday, the food and the service were great. When we paid, of course we left the tringelt when we were satisfied. It cannot be said that way today. Terrible experience. We waited 50 minutes for the food. after 40 min. the waiter came to ask if everything is okay "this Ben" then he probably thought that we have been waiting for food for a long time so he brought pizza to my friend and food to me only after another 10 minutes. Does it seem strange to me when a couple comes to a restaurant together for dinner and the food is brought to each person separately? I don't know where in gastronomy it is done like this. I ordered a hamburger when ordering, he told me that it was not possible to have a whole hamburger, that he would give me bread on the side. He brought me the bread for the burger after about 5 minutes. So I had bread with me for the whole 50 minutes of waiting... and I started eating it completely because I was hungry! After 50 minutes he brought me the famous hamburger. On my plate I had meat thrown with a bit of salad and fries.. oh, and lemon.. I don't know what lemon has to do with a hamburger. No sauce for the burger or proper garnish.. I had to squeeze the mayonnaise out of the bag, we left hungry and still waited another 50 minutes. Either the staff forgot about us or I can't explain it any other way. I go to eat at a restaurant regularly, but in my entire life I have never written a bad review to anyone, but today I left the restaurant really pissed off! If you have an email, I will write there. Really nice place, situated on the beach. Went here on a recommendation of a local, and am glad we did. As a family of four from the UK (two teenage daughters), and essentially no Italian speaking skills, the restaurant was very accommodating. They greeted us in a really friendly manner, and gave us english menus (thank heavens!). The food came out quickly and was super tasty. Everything that was getting served around us looked really tasty, but we all went for pasta and calamari, and were not disappointed. I'm quite a fussy person usually, when it comes to eating out, and I often expect less than stellar food at establishments that cater to the (in this case clearly Italian) tourist trade, but I was really pleasantly surprised here. PLEASE do NOT go to this restaurant! Terrible service (was there twice, gave them a new chance but regret it) and the food was not good either. Had to wait over 1h for simple pasta and when we asked for maybe a refill for free since our glasses were empty they simply said no. When we said we had a 10% discount because of staying at a hotel that had the discount they didn’t want to give it.
