Quantity over quality. Despite bad reviews, we visited Restaurant Valentina thinking "it can't be that bad" or "people over exaggerat" when it comes to reviews We were wrong. Most of the staff were friendly and inviting, but there was one server that seemed to really hate the job... or was having a really bad day. We did however get a table with a nice view, which we appreciated. Then we had some mussels as starters to share, which actually were quite good. But the main courses were underwhelming to say the least. Sure, the portions were generous but it was definitely quantity over quality. We had two, very simple dishes for the main course and they were below average standards. My wife who isn't even a picky eater, quite the opposite - just had a couple of bites before she declared politely that she wouldn't eat that poorly made (pasta dish) I ordered a steak, which I definitely could've made better myself at home. Pricing seemed definitely off, because of the lack of quality. At this current state, I wouldn't go back, even for a free meal.

Not sure who is writing the bad reviews but here’s my experience. We stayed in Stintino for 2 nights and happened upon this place on our way back to our apartment when we couldn’t find a place to park in downtown Stintino for dinner. It’s all locals and we felt like outsiders. Very little to no English spoken. We walked right in so don’t know if you need a rez. However, the food was amazing and ridiculously cheap. So good that we went back again on our second night. My pasta vongole was probably the best pasta dish I’ve had in my life. We were there 2 hours the second night and just observed local family life in Stintino. What a great choice. A great way to start a month tour of Sardinia and Italy.

the environment is very nice, the serving women are very unpleasant. When it started raining heavily, we asked him to call a taxi, he dropped a magazine with the number and told us to call him ourselves. The number didn't work, it showed that we were calling France. We ordered two pizzas and they were simple, not according to Italian standards. If you are in the area, we recommend having dinner at the trattoria Chiringuito Da Fabiano. Excellent food, attentive service.

Went to this restaurant today with my partner and we will never go there again! First of all, staff weren’t friendly to start. secondly, it took them ages to come and take orders, and for some reason a group of people who came a lot later than us got served first with drinks and we were sat there waiting for someone to take orders for food and drinks for nearly half an hour later! Food took ages to come as well! We ordered a starter to share but starter came together with my main, fried squid with fries and salad and my partner’s main did not come till 40 minutes after. I’m aware pizza is handmade so it might take some time but 40minutes seems a long wait and people came before us had their mains already. So in the end I sat there looking at my partner eating his dinner. And with my main, salad as part of the plate, salad I was expecting greens plus maybe tomatoes? But guess not in this restaurant! Salad to them is only chopped lettuce! Is ridiculous! We had salmon salad, fried squid with salad(lettuce) and fries and pizza and 0.5L wine with bread and a bottle of water, it cost us €50! Price is a bit out of what we expected with the service and quality of food! Maybe just paying the price to sit in a fancy looking restaurant but not getting the quality service and food. To add on, no one was actually at the counter when there was a queue of people wanting to pay and leave because no one bothered to serve! I have not seen any restaurant like this! Feel like they don’t bother and just serving you as a day customer since you won’t be back to their restaurant in the future. Just that kind of attitude and really makes you think why bother even running...

After several recommendations we decided to try this place. Firstly the service is pathetic....about 4 or 5 waiters but they may only take your drinks orders, bring food or take plates away. Our reservation was for 9:30 and we waited until 10:15 before the only lady who is allowed to take food orders arrived. We ordered 1 pizza (disgusting: too thin, all the mozzarella was bunched up in the middle and looked & had the consistency of chewing gum. Then we ordered 2 fish fritto misto : the prawns were so way overcooked that they were like mash prawn and the calamari batter was brown and tasted horrid...which probably means the oil was old. We were annoyed and so put off that we decided to leave and left most of the food still in the plates. I don't know what the hype is here or why somebody would bother spending their hard earned Euros here. Will definitely...
