Trattoria Opera Viva — Restaurant in Isthintini/Stintino

I came this evening with two friends and we sat outside.

Lovely little terrace.

Service was really good.

We were welcome by our waitress and other staff who came to take our orders at the table.

Our waitress was very professional and kind. Really really impressive. Regularly checked on our table to make sure all was going well.

The food and wine was divine.

As a little bonus I was gifted a little bit of ground coffee as I had none left on the boat and had forgotten to buy some.

So tomorrow morning when I make my coffee before sailing away I will think again about my lovely experience at this lovely restaurant.

Thanks to all the staff and particularly to the lovely professional, kind and attentive waitress with very nice long poney tail.

I really recommend...

It could be a very nice visite, but unfortunately it wasn’t a good one. We went there for recommended homemade pasta. So we ordered. But they forgot about my pasta. My husband ate his food, I reminded them about mine and they didn’t even apologize. They brought not what I ordered at the end and it was definitely not home made. I didn’t order spaghetti. I ordered Tallarines. Because they were probably in the hurry, spaghetti was super hot so I burned my mouth.

I know we are people and we forget about things it happiest they were busy. Just apologize make up for your mistake, don’t make other people look like idiots. Juts say, sorry we forgot here is your complimentary drink, desert etc. just be respectful.

Our experience did not leave up to the reviews we read here.

The grilled meat with roasted potatoes. Everything too oily, especially the potatoes. The beef was rather cold and both the beef and the pork were overcooked, i could barely chew.

Also, the waitress knew I was gluten free since she suggested to me what dishes I can eat (and the grilled meat was one of them). Yet, the meat came on 2 slices of thin bread!

The grilled fish with vegetables - vegetables meant 2 slices of zucchini and 1 slice of aubergine. wow!

But, we liked the roasted cheese as appetizer and the mixed salad.

Service was ok, the waitress did not speak English and was difficult to talk with her,...
