Cibariando is a standout restaurant that we had the pleasure of visiting during our trip. The staff's attentive and warm service set the tone for a wonderful lunch, making special efforts to accommodate our girls' dietary requirements, which was deeply appreciated. The highlight of their exceptional service was the complimentary sorbetto served to our girls after the meal, a thoughtful gesture that left a lasting impression.

As for the food, it was a harmonious blend of freshness, quality, and innovation. The raw prawn starter, featuring sweet prawns bathed in a delicious marinade, was the perfect opening act. Each pasta dish had its distinct character, from the umami-rich anchovy pasta that my wife relished, to the prawn risotto that impressed me with its depth of flavour, and not forgetting the squid ink pasta that our girls...

Tanta apparenza, niente sostanza! Da dove inizio? Comitiva di colleghi, Ingresso carino, arredamento minimale/elegante, abbastanza pretenzioso, eco da palestra, pressoché impossibile conversare. Ci sediamo. Un cameriere giovane ci accoglie, ci fa sedere e porta i menu. Qui inizia la debacle. É il primo ristorante specializzato in pesce che vedo a non offrire una carrellata sugli antipasti, il classico "assaggio di tutto un pó": va beh, sono scelte. Prima richiesta (e ultima): potremmo avere la possibilitá di fare un misto degli antipasti alla carta? La risposta lascia allibiti: "No perché dovremmo metterli 40 euro e poi voi vi lamentate che costa troppo". Non ho risposto solo perché, nonostante l'ottimo italiano, il cameriere aveva un accento straniero, gli ho dato il beneficio del dubbio, magari ha sbagliato la scelta delle parole.... Arriva da bere: 3 litri d'acqua e 1 bottiglia di Passerina da 3/4 l. per 11 persone. Per chiedere altro bisogna prendere i camerieri al lazo. Ordiniamo, obbligatoriamente alla carta, ovviamente ognuno sceglie quello che preferisce: chi salta l'antipasto, chi il primo... Seconda uscita infelice del cameriere: "Avete scelto troppe cose diverse, qualcosa arriverá prima e qualcosa dopo" (???). Arriva la mia tartare di tonno, microscopica: pesce fresco, ok, ma nulla di diverso da un all you can it. Arrivano anche gli Spaghetti all'Astice per 2... con un astice neonato (lunghezza fuori tutto 20 cm) tagliato a metá e giá svuotato, messo a decorare metá un piatto e metá l'altro! 😯. Magari il contenuto dell'astice era nel condimento, ma é la prima volta che mangio spaghetti all'astice senza mangiare anche l'astice (visto poi il prezzo). Spaghetti buoni ma non eccelsi e porzioni da dieta. Dulcis in fundo? Ordiniamo 11 sorbetti ma ne arrivano 9: li abbiamo finiti! (l'ultimo ce lo siamo divisi in 3...). The five of us left the restaurant frustrated with the complacent attitude of our waiter (who turned out being the owner’s son), but quite happy with the taste and size of our dinner. I was unsure if I’d give it a three or four stars. I said: “Let me sleep on that, and in the morning I’ll see if I was more affected by the annoying waiter/owner or by the tasty food”.
