Mare-Mare cucina di pesce — Restaurant in Jesi

So we were looking for a quick lunch, kind of something in bread, but it was late so we dropped in the first place we found. A quick glance at the menu have us cause to rethink our plans. This restaurant does not do sandwiches. While we're on the subject it doesn't do a children's menu, or speak much English either, so be brave and tell your small ones to do the same. Ours loved, and I mean that loved, their pasta and mussels. There was nothing left, not anything from a generous serving, and not all children eat stuff like that. Yeah, ok maybe I'm a bit of a proud dad but the pasta was great.

Meanwhile we set about prawns in sesame and balsamic reduction and a tartare which were both excellent, but nothing compared to the millefeuille of fish and aubergine. I'm a bit of a foodie and this was fantastic by any standard, for the price it was exceptional. As you can see by now we'd completely failed our 'quick simple lunch' objective.

The pudding continued this trend and eventually we left, completely satisfied. This will likely become a regular stop when we've got an afternoon with nothing to do and s hunger to deal with. Highly...

Piccolo locale nei pressi dell'arco clementino. L'arredo della sala è curato e accogliente. Lo chef si occupa anche del servizio al tavolo. Oltre a poter scegliere alla carta c'è la possibilità di scegliere tra 3 diversi menu che si differenziano per il numero di antipasti presenti. 2 nel piccolo, 3 nel medio e 4 nel grande. A seguire un primo, un secondo e un dolce. La cosa interessante è che il menu te lo puoi costruire come preferisci scegliendo i piatti dal menu. I piatti che più ci hanno colpito sono i 2 antipasti freddi che abbiamo scelto (la tartarre e il carpaccio). Buono anche il riso alla crema di pistacchio e gamberi. Tutti i piatti sono ben impiattati. Prezzo adeguato al servizio e alla qualità di quello che abbiamo mangiato. Interessante il fatto che il menu è stagionale, per cui ogni 3 mesi viene...

Colpa mia! Colpa mia di aver chiesto alla gentilissima receptionist dell hotel che volevo si assaporare una lauta cena di pesce ma ….tradizionale!!!! Invece qui trovo un bel localino dove vedo una certa “ricerca” di sapori alternativi ma sinceramente preferisco il classico crudo di antipasto ed una bella grigliata con il pane come solo qui nelle Marche sanno fare …ma ripeto, colpa mia! Io però da buon nordista alla ricerca dei sapori locali di dove il mio lavoro mi porta sinceramente non ritornerò. Giusto per specificare comunque un antipasto di triglie affogate in pistacchio che non faceva più sentire il sapore del pesce, ed un trancio di ricciola al sale stracotto, due calici di vino ho pagato un conto di 59 euri …ah dimenticavo un amaro...
