Ristorante Pizzeria Moreno — Restaurant in Jesolo

We passed this restaurant a couple of nights in a row as the queue outside was too long - a sure sign of a good restaurant so we decided to queue one evening and give the hotel meal a miss - people were coming out saying ‘Bellisimo’ and Grazie to the waiting staff so all was good. We were seated after around 5-6 mins and were excited to order. 2 separate waiters approached our table but neither appeared able to take our order. Eventually the 2nd waiter came back and took our order. I ordered Nona’s recipe meatballs and my wife ordered risotto with Mussels. We ordered red wine and a soft drink along with some water. The wine arrived and I guess something must have got lost in translation as we now had a carafe of Lambrusco Rossi! We started it but couldn’t finish it with our meal as it was too sweet. Nona’s meatballs with spaghetti were tasty, however the spaghetti was very hot but the meatballs were only lukewarm and whilst I had around 6 large marble sized meatballs, I think my son had about half of that. The risotto that my wife had, was a bit bland (her words). They don’t bring the bill so you are asked to go to counter to pay and the lovely lady there asked if everything was ok and I responded that it was just that, ok! She seemed a little perturbed and advised she would come to our table with limoncello but we are not fans of limoncello so she suggested grappe and we don’t like that either. She didn’t seem happy. Anyway, positives are that the restaurant setting is amazing, the ambience and buzz is really good I’m sure we just caught them at a busy time. I've been to many places in Europe, but nowhere did I feel as comfortable as I do here. Let me start with the atmosphere, which is family. The waiters are extremely helpful and offer advice about meals and are extremely patient when it comes to children. The amazing thing is that the owner himself walks around the room and talks to people trying to get to know his customers at least a little bit. We felt like we were at home, but one with a big cool family. Food. The mastery of the world. Lobster with pasta fantastic and quite nicely served. The kitchen's specialty of pasta with meatballs is like the best dish from my childhood at my grandmother's house. The sauce is perfect and the meatballs are moist and soft. Rissotto with shrimp and bacon a big ogormous WOW. It was good with saffron, but definitely the one with shrimp was the best. Pizza for the kids with no reservations. We've tried tiramisu at several places in Italy, but I think it's typical store-bought. Here, even for me, who doesn't like sweets, it was exceptional. We would also like to thank them for preparing a nice surprise for our son on his birthday on short notice. A nice thing after the meal for the kids - they can choose a chuppa chups lollipop for themselves. We extend our warmest greetings to the owner, who is a very nice man and you can see that he is trying to make sure that his restaurant is seen as the best one. Io e mio marito siamo andati al ristorante il 03/09/2023. Abbiamo aspettato 30 minuti per entrare. Poi abbiamo ordinato due paste e due bevande. Ci è stata portata una bevanda HUGO dal gusto molto strano, acqua tinta di giallo, all'interno pochissima menta e limone giallo al posto del lime, abbiamo chiesto alla signorina che ha preso la nostra ordinazione, perché la bevanda non è fatta a norma. Nella foto del menu la bevanda è verde con lime, ma è stato portato il limone giallo e la bevanda sa di acqua con limone e ghiaccio. La cameriera ha preso i bicchieri in modo sgarbato e aggressivo, ha detto "Addio!" e li ha portati via. Invece di scusarsi e cambiare la bevanda, siamo stati insultati e cacciati dal ristorante, dicendoci che non eravamo ospiti graditi. Abbiamo anche ordinato della pasta con le nostre bevande, che non ci hanno nemmeno portato. È una discriminazione di nazionalità perché siamo russi? O quale sia la ragione di un tale comportamento aggressivo del personale nei nostri confronti, la polizia e le istituzioni statali italiane competenti che controllano questo ristorante se ne occuperanno. Alle loro critiche su Google Maps, questo ristorante risponde che tutti i commenti mentono. In realtà è il personale di questo ristorante disfunzionale a mentire, perché i truffatori stessi imbrogliano i clienti con bevande e cibo. E poi li cacciano via. Un comportamento molto strano. Siamo persone gentili, colte e non conflittuali, con noi è la prima volta. Prendetevi cura della vostra salute, dei vostri nervi e del vostro portafoglio da questi truffatori e non venite mai qui! Non sarete i benvenuti in questo ristorante!
