Original Bier Fest — Restaurant in Lallio

Not a place I could ever recommend.

1. The site doesn't state reservations are mandatory, yet the young waitress made il sound as if it was and she was doing us a favor by seating us somewhere in a booth in the back despite the place was 1/2 empty (and didn't get any fuller throughout the evening) and despite far more comfortable spaces for us were available from the time we arrived, until we left (more on this later).

2. The person I was with had serious visible mobility problems (walking with 2 canes) nevertheless the waitress didn't seem to give a single flying about it nor she even hinted at trying to provide a table that would be easy to access after I pointed out that it'd be best for my dining companion to avoid going up and down steps. Mind you, it was just the two of us, not a large party. I could certainly understand if we expected a special treatment if the place was completely packed, or if it was a weekend with people waiting at the door... but that wasn't the case. We wouldn't have even tried to dine there if it was, to begin with. Instead it was a weekday where all tables by the entrance were well over 90% empty! I made it a point to check if they ever got anyone seated at those table (while we dined at the restaurant) and only a party of two did. The space remained abundantly empty. The whole restaurant was becoming increasingly empty as we were inching towards closing time.

3. We got seated in a booth where not only it was difficult to slide in (as the table is too close to the benches, but the seat was rather uncomfortable. In addition, the table's 2 pyramid-shaped footing wouldn't allow a patron to seat properly since resting one's feet on the floor it's impossible (not even if one wore size 8 or smaller and I wear size 11). The uncomfortable overall design would cause one's legs go numb I even got pain on my ankle due to having to keep my foot twisted on that rather "uninspired" (to say the least) footing.

4. Due to the disability, my dining companion had the only option of seating on a stool at the end ot the table at the booth, just because the young and uncompassionate waitress had zero consideration for a person with mobility issues and was unwilling to seat us in the open and available tables by the entrance.

5. While the overall service was actually decent and attentive (albeit not overreaching) the lack of compassion and willingness to be accomodating, made any positive sides fade away very quickly!

6. The food was passable at most. Definitely not authentic... Bavarian pizzas? Sure they have a light-blue and white diamond shaped flags and emblems, as well as wall boards displaying messages written in Fraktur font, but those only made it look cheaper and more fake. The place is a mere scenographic "partial-way-there" at best in terms of decor. And that's not a flattering "partial-way" since it feels more as if it had been designed by a Bavarian "wanna-be" or someone with a "Bavarian fetish" who's never been in Bavaria and has "visited" those areas only in their imagination, or perhaps emulates it after viewing them in some TV show.

7. Ambience it's even less appealing, let alone authentic. It feels closer to a sport bar since it's littered with TVs broadcasting soccer matches. Why must they have those TVs for starter? If they must, perhaps they should broadcast Bavarian-specific documentaries and bavarian beer/food related topics.

8. It's truly a shame because it has potential, but in order to achieve something worth mentioning, they would need to rethink decor and food. Then I'd also suggest the waitresses be more compassionate and accommodating with people with disabilities as that's a must anywhere!

9. All who've been raving about this place here (food, decor, ambience, authenticity) unless you're shill reviewers, you may want to think about traveling a bit more and gather much needed additional life experience to form a more accurate image/taste about what constitutes authentic and...

Venerdì sera tranquillo. Abbiamo preso 2 stinchi bavaresi (cotti al vapore) con krauti , patata al cartoccio e polenta concia a parte. Porzioni generose direi ; carne e verdure molto sani e gustosi , buona e soprattutto cucinata in modo sano e (per nulla speziato) cosa che personalmente a me piace molto (ma potrebbe anche non piacere a tutti). Forse con la cottura al vapore lo stinco non si è cotto in maniera uniforme , (inteso che la carne in alcuni punti vicino all'osso è rimasta un pò fredda di temperatura e rossa di colore rispetto al resto) ma di per se un buon piatto ; ovviamente parlo per gusto personale , ad altri magari piace la carne poco cotta...

Un pò "too much" la musica dance a volume sostenuto , specialmente se ci si siede con le casse "dietro la testa" , facevamo fatica a parlarci tra noi che eravamo l'uno di fronte all'altro.

Ma di per se credo torneremo volentieri per assaggiare altro. (menù con vasta scelta di piatti tra ristorante e pizza).

Servizio rapido ed efficiente.

TORNATO IL 06/12/2024 cena con un amico , lui ha preso il panino con carne di cervo e patate fritte (per il prezzo di 16,90 non ci siamo però , il panino risulta povero di ingredienti , solamente una foglia di insalata e basta??? ciò nonostante sia molto buona la carne non può definirsi un panino gourmet , inoltre a sua detta ma le patatine erano pre-fritte , le ho assaggiate anch'io ed effettivamente non erano fresche). io ho preso il Rosti di patate (non un vero e proprio Rosti in quanto erano 6 medaglioni piccoli piccoli , buoni ma il Rosti vero e proprio è tutt'altra cosa , con 2 uova pochè + 2 contorni , mix di krauti e funghi alla birra (tutto buono buono , nulla da dire). una guinness , un'acqua e 2 caffè = 55,00 euro

Prezzo nella media , da notare le MARCATE ORIGINI LIGURI del ragazzo in cassa.

nonostante il locale fosse pieno imballato le cameriere sono state presenti e molto gentili , il servizio è andato a rilento ma può capitare in una serata così.

A distanza di mesi ribadisco la volontà di tornarci nuovamente , nonostante ci sia ancora qualche evidente pecca nel menù risulta comunque una buona realtà qui in zona che compete dignitosamente con altrettanti validi locali limitrofi.

Provata la pizza , squisita , impasto ottimo , ingredienti ottimi , ci hanno servito in tempistiche direi eccellenti. 2 pizze vegetariane , un acqua , 2 buoni calici di Primitivo e 2 caffè. 38,00 euro (prezzo nella media) Nulla da...

Pizza buona ... Però... Siamo arrivati in 7 ed ho chiesto gentilmente se potessero tenere la torta dato che era il compleanno di mia zia, mi è stato risposto che avremmo dovuto pagare 1,50€ a testa per il taglio e il servizio della torta... Non l'ho mai sentito ... Però ognuno fa quello che crede giusto (lo trovo parecchio insensato... Se fossimo stati in 20 avrei pagato 30€ di taglio e servizio, quasi quanto una torta praticamente), accettiamo perché non volevo rovinare il compleanno di mia zia! Finiamo di mangiare e dopo un po' di tempo cerco qualcuno per farmi portare la torta (dato che c'era poca organizzazione, non avevamo tavoli o zone fisse, ma ogni tavolo veniva servito da personale diverso che doveva ricoprire una grossa sala e una parte esterna altrettanto ampia) ... Ci viene portata la torta da un ragazzo che non avevamo visto fino a quel momento... Facciamo le foto e gli auguri ... E aspettiamo che qualcuno ci prenda la torta per tagliarla... Continuavo a cercare l'attenzione di qualcuno... Fino al punto che mio fratello si alza e chiede al bancone se avessimo dovuto portarla noi (certo, devo pagare e devo anche fare tutto io) ... Gli rispondono che sarebbero arrivati... Dopo altri 10 min ancora niente ... Fin quando il pizzaiolo si accorge della torta sul tavolo e avverte una cameriera ... Che neanche sapeva che avessero portato già la torta al tavolo (se ognuno avesse avuto una propria parte assegnata, non ci sarebbe tutta questa confusione) ... Al che le dico che ormai l'avremmo portata a casa perché non avevo intenzione di pagare un supplemento per un "servizio" del genere ... Si sono scusati ma non hanno neanche pensato di offrirlo dato i disagi che ci sono stati. Ognuno può fare pagare anche l'aria che si respira... Ma se non hai una buona organizzazione e non riesci a fornire il servizio che vuoi farti pagare ... Non ti aspettare soddisfazione da parte dei clienti ... PS: mia cugina di 10 anni ha detto "meno male che non era una torta gelato" Pienamente ragione!!! PPS: sicuramente non festeggerò mai un compleanno in quel posto ... Perché 1.50€ a persona ci prendo un regalo in più per...
