Trattoria Pugliese — Restaurant in Lampedusa e Linosa

With so many wonderful restaurants to eat at in Lampedusa, there's a reason I chose to eat here TWICE during my 8-day stay. The food is Fantastic! Everything I had was delicious, perfectly cooked and beautifully presented. The food may seem like your basic recipe but I assure you that there are little modern-day twists that elevate the food from something more than what your mother or grandmother would prepare. I always have to have something sweet after my meal. I couldn't resist on ordering the fresh out-of-the-oven fig and ricotta crumble. My waitresses eyes actually widened when she told me about this dessert having just come from the oven as if to signal me that I shouldn't order anything else but this for dessert, and she was right! One word.. WOW!! This is probably one of the best places I have EVER eaten at!! Trust me when I say that the food is pure delicious!!! I’m a real foodie and I travel tons so the fact that I am even writing this review is odd.. but if the food is good then yes! I need to share this amazing experience with you!! My man and I ordered three dishes and one dessert (1.pasta with shrimp and pesto with almond yum!!! Fresh tuna - oh my gooood..... out of this world Mixed Sord fish and tuna - also good but not to be compared with above dishes Pistachio and ricotta cake - bomb!!!!!!) Lunga attesa per l’ordinazione pur essendo semi vuoto il locale. Antipasto di ricotta infornata e primo sale Lampedusano accettabile confetture un po’ meno essendo classiche marmellatine da supermercato. Primi di scarsa qualità. 2 norma e 2 a base di pesce. Spaghetto allo scoglio senza alcun sapore, spaghetti alla sirte una semplicissima pasta aglio olio e peperoncino (abbondante) con pezzi di gambero. Le 2 norma, per me che sono siciliana e trovandomi nel mio territorio, inaccettabile che non si sappia fare a mestiere. Pomodoro slegato dalla pasta e ricotta salata grattugiata. Non ci ritornerei.
