Unless you like to be overrun by throngs of tweens and teens don’t go out to eat in Lecce after 8:00 pm. BUT, if you are looking for a delicious hamburger then this is the place to go! I didn’t have a reservation so I was seated outside. No problem. I’m hungry and it all sounds good. I ordered the cheeseburger and fries with a beer. Fantastic! Big patty of Angus beef with all the trimmings. I hadn’t enjoyed French Fries since arriving in Italy and these were the best! Hot, crispy and tender. There are hot dogs and veggie options too. You have to go if you want something different than wonderful pasta. The service was good even though they were busy....

Paradiso burger came pretty raw, very much cold. The texture was so viscerally repulsive that I spent the short meal trying to not throw up what I ate. On the plus side, our dog liked it. That is the most positive thing I can see is: it pleases our sausage dog. I hope to never experience something as off-putting in my plate again. I get that it's a concept burger but this was such a bad experience that I want others to make a better burger...

Sono stato da Il Carrettino con tre miei amici. Conoscevo già i loro panini, mangiati più volte in varie occasioni, ma ora che ho scoperto il loro locale, direi che si aggiudica il primo posto tra le mie hamburgerie preferite. Ho provato l'Esagerato e devo dire che il nome calza a pennello! Un'esplosione di sapori con il pane artigianale, il burger di Angus e tutti gli altri ingredienti di prima qualità. Inoltre il loro antipasto con patatine, crocchette artigianali, ali di pollo, nuggets di pollo e di pulled pork è tra i migliori. Per non parlare del dolce. Una cheescake con Nutella incredibilmente buona. Ma oltre al cibo, ciò che mi ha colpito è la simpatia e la professionalità del personale. Un'atmosfera accogliente che ti fa sentire subito a casa. Se siete a Lecce, una tappa al Carrettino è d'obbligo! Ci ritornerò...
