Ristorante Osteria Cantarana — Restaurant in Levanto

To be honest I got surprised by this restaurant, they may not have the wider menu in Levanto but the cuisine is very good for a fair price considering the central location in Levanto. The service was outstanding, the best I’ve met so far after many years I come for holidays in the area. Good selection of wine and delicious desserts. I am quite surprised reading some bad reviews, probably those people should go to eat at Domino’s or in some bar of Barcelona o Milan to level their standards. My advice is to don’t let yourself foolish by those, as Italian I loved to have dinner with my family there, even more since they were very careful about the gluten free plates for my girlfriend. I think is really hard to find many better places in the area to eat for the same price.

La verdad, este lugar me ha sorprendido, capaz que no tienen el menú más extenso de Levanto, pero la cocina es muy buena por un precio honesto teniendo en cuenta también la ubicación central en el pueblo. El servicio fue excelente, lo mejor que encontré considerando que hace muchos años que vengo por vacaciones en él área. Buena selección de vinos y deliciosos postres. Quedo sorprendido en leer algunas malas reseñas, probablemente esa gente debería ir a comer a Domino’s o en algún rincón de Barcelona o Milano para reconsiderar sus expectativas. Mi consejo es de no haceros influenzar por ellas, en cuanto italiano he amado cenar ahí con mi familia, aun más debido a la atención que pusieron al tema de los platos sin gluten para mi novia. Creo de verdad que sea complicado encontrar muchos lugares mejores en él área por un precio similar.

Onestamente questo ristorante mi ha sorpreso. Probabilmente non avrà il menu più esteso di Levanto però la cucina è piuttosto buona ad un prezzo onesto considerando anche la posizione centrale. Il servizio è stato eccellente, credo uno dei migliori che ho incontrato in molti anni che vengo in vacanza da queste parti. Buona selezione di vini e dolci deliziosi. Non ve lo dico nemmeno di non dar peso alle reviews dei turisti stranieri, gente che probabilmente si merita di mangiare da Domino’s o qualche bar infimo per riconsiderare le proprie aspettative. Io ho cenato molto bene con la famiglia e ho apprezzato l’attenzione e la cura al tema del senza glutine per la mia fidanzata. Creo sia difficile trovare molti posti migliori di questo a simil prezzo in giro per questa zona (antipasto, primo, dolce, vino e.. amaro offerto...

My husband and I walked to Levanto from Vernazza, enjoyed an epic sunset, and then walked all over town attempting to find a restaurant who could seat us without a reservation. We decided to try Cantarna as a last attempt before catching the train back to Vernazza, and to our surprise they were able to seat us inside without a wait. We were directly here after our place of choice was full but we would’ve been better off having focaccia pizza for dinner. My first mistake was ordering the rabbit dish when I could see the sea, totally my fault. How it’s possible to have overcooked pasta in Italy is beyond me. I’ve had Progresso Chicken Noodle Soup that had more flavor. My son got fried seafood which was fine, nothing special.
