Restaurant Review: Rueda Gaucha I had the pleasure of dining at Rueda Gaucha last night, and it was an outstanding experience. The food was excellent, the service was top-notch, and the ambiance was beautiful. We started with a mixed platter of meats, featuring prosciutto and lardo from Mangalica. This appetizer was fantastic, but the highlight of the evening was undoubtedly the Fiorentina steak. It was perfectly cooked, incredibly flavorful, and truly impressive. A single baked potato wrapped in foil was the perfect side dish, providing just the right amount of accompaniment. Additionally, the offering of various pestos and salts in small dishes alongside the steak was a winning touch, allowing us to enhance each bite to our liking. Overall, Rueda Gaucha exceeded our expectations in every way. Excellent food, great service, and a lovely atmosphere make this a restaurant we will definitely return to. Highly recommended!

As a customer, I expect to receive quality service and be treated with courtesy and respect. Unfortunately, my experience at your restaurant fell far short of meeting these expectations.

Wir haben's trotzdem ohne Reservierung versucht, da wir im Regen nicht weitersuchen wollten. Restaurant war tatsächlich voll, vor allem Italiener und ein paar Österreicher. Trotzdem hat uns der Besitzer nach ein paar Minuten einen Tisch fertig machen können. Schon mal die erste positive Erfahrung. Bis es soweit war, haben wir noch einen Gin Tonic an der Bar genossen. Die Karte ist nicht sehr gross, was sowohl Auswahl als auch Format betrifft. Das wichtigste: drei T-Bone Steaks unterschiedlicher Herkunft zu 8EUR/100g, was ich nicht übertrieben finde. Wein in Flaschen kann man sich direkt aus dem Regal aussuchen, das finde ich sehr gut, das haptische Erlebnis einer Flasche ist mir immer lieber als eine Weinkarte. Preise um 30-40EUR. Das nächste positive Erlebnis. Beim Aussuchen des Weines habe ich dann das Highlight entdeckt: die Steaks (und auch Fisch) werden auf offenem Feuer zubereitet. Einziger Kritikpunkt: das Beilagengemüse kam etwas zu früh und war somit nur mehr lauwarm als das Steak kam. Beim Dessert war die Auswahl gross, Tiramisu geht immer und die Crème brûlée kam brennend zum Tisch, Espresso hervorragend wie eh fast überall in Italien. Den Abschluss machte noch ein netter Tratsch mit der Chefin (Danke nochmals für Kuchen und Grappa!) Was soll ich sagen, rundum zufrieden und ich wünschte wir hätten das Lokal früher entdeckt. Im Sommer würde ich unbedingt Reservierung einige Tage vorher empfehlen.

First and foremost, the highlight of our meal was the ribs my son ordered. He claims they were the best he's ever had, and I couldn't agree more. The presentation of the ribs was also unique; we haven't encountered anything quite like it before. The steak and lamb dishes we ordered were equally delightful, showcasing the chef's mastery in preparing meat dishes. While the main courses were outstanding, we were slightly underwhelmed by the selection of appetizers offered. They didn't quite match the same level of excellence as the main dishes. On the other hand, the dessert experience was extraordinary. The creme brulee was served still flaming, which brought immense joy to my son – it was a real showstopper! One thing to note is that the service was a bit slow at the beginning. However, we were informed of the potential delay while making our reservation, so it didn't come as a surprise. As the evening progressed, the waitstaff became more attentive, and we felt well taken care of. Despite the initial impression, the servers managed to dedicate ample time and attention to us during the course of the meal. Overall, our experience at Ristorante Rueda Gaucha was fantastic, thanks to the delectable meat dishes and the lively ambiance. In Short: Rude and arrogant staff, poor quality food, and an atmosphere that makes you wonder why you didn’t just stay home.

Full Review: We were two adults and two kids (one only 2 years old) spending a week in Lignano. Every night, we tried a new restaurant, happily paying €120–150 for the family. This was the only place where I left thinking, “Well, that was money I’ll never see again.”

Staff: Unfriendly and arrogant from the moment we arrived. If you doubt it, just read the manager’s replies to negative Google reviews — they’re a masterclass in how not to handle feedback.

Main Dishes: • Filetto di Manzo: Asked for medium. Got something so raw it could have walked off the plate. • Asado: Five ribs. One was 100% fat and bone the rest were better but still a lot of fat and bone. Yes, a little fat is tasty. A lot of fat is just… well, fat. No side dish even a potato with Asado. • Galletto Selvaggio: Half a chicken split in two and presented in the same glamorous style you’d expect at a roadside grill shack.

Side Dishes: Salad and vegetables were fine. The French fries? McDonald’s could have done better.

For Kids: No baby chairs. No tolerance for children. The unspoken rule here seems to be: Eat quickly, leave quickly.

Atmosphere: Dark, hot, and smoky inside. We left smelling like we’d spent the evening in a campfire — only without the fun part.

Summary: In my opinion bad food, worse attitude, and no hint of hospitality. My advice to the manager: try eating at Corse du Sud or Atmosphera. You might discover how good food and good manners can actually exist in the same place — sometimes even...

More like a symphony then usual dining!

Well I don’t know where to start but let me share the current moment of joy and fascination and the respect I have for such an amazing restaurant!

Well the quality is self explaining it’s outstanding and I highly recommend it to everyone who appreciates the beauty of meat. I choose a beef tartare as my starter and it’s quality was incredible! I had to put it together all by myself and it was a fun thing to do, I did really enjoy it! Becoming chef again has been a wish of mine for the best few years and the quality of the steak is not what the restaurant makes as special as it is. It’s the appreciation of good food and the right sense of timing and the effort they put into it. It was my father’s birthday and multiple people came to wish him happy birthday, which was cute and absolutely wonderful! We will definitely go there another time in near future!
