Fantastic location in the middle of the long beach.

Great views out to the pier so you can check on your boat arriving and Stromboli in the distance too.

Lots of outdoor seating - some under umbrellas, some open fully to the sun.

Superb mature plants all around the cafe/bar which really assists with a chilled vibe

Great coffee

Great gelato

Great prices given how expensive Island life understandably is.

Friendly and chilled staff. Some spoke English, which is helpful when your Italian is limited as mine currently is.

I went every morning for coffee and pistachio croissant and every evening for a beer and snacks (and sometimes also Gelato!) In the evenings I would take my laptop and work on the much overdue book. I found it to be very productive. It appears they have WiFi but WiFi is the death of writing so I never asked for the code.

Sometimes I ate the good pre-made Sicilian food also available, mostly if I was writing well and didn’t want to leave make dinner myself.

esperienza da incubo!!!!

Subito dopo che la cameriera ha sbarazzato il nostro tavolo, mi accorgo che manca il mio pacco di sigarette appena comprato. Chiedo subito alla cameriera se in buona fede, l'aveva portato via e lei mi risponde ''se vuole cerca lei nella spazzatura, io le mani dentro la spazzatura non le metto''. Agghiacciante. Successivamente chiediamo il conto, arriva il cameriere e ci dice ''23,60 euro'' senza portare alcun scontrino fiscale. Lo richiedo. Entriamo dentro per pagare e la titolare ci fa pagare 25 euro, facendo così 1,40 di cresta. Vergogna: non ci sono altre parole.
