PAPISCA Tavola calda / Gelateria — Restaurant in Lipari

Terrible service. I asked for their primi piati (of 12 euros!! Clearly overpriced) made of bread with olive oil, tuna, lettuce with small pieces of cheese and also an Arancino made of meat and cheese. The bread arrived after half an hour of waiting, even though there was just my boyfriend and I waiting outside. They forgot about the Arancino which had me go inside and ask for it, only to find out the tray was empty. The staff was rude when I told them that my Arancino didn't arrive to my table and pretended I did not ordered it, which I did, just before they asked me for the beverages. The waiters did not use masks or gloves to manage people's plates. One of them pretended to know English, which made me frustrated because I was talking but she couldn't understand, so I had to go inside and repeat all over the Arancino situation

Clearly overpriced and...

I visited this café every day, because I sunbathed on the opposite beach, where wonderful people like Marco, Pepe, and Ivan work. Regarding this café, I can say that these are the most wonderful people I have ever met on the globe. Especially Signor Giovanni! What a nice, kind, unique person he is. Now I looked at our photo and I missed Signor Giovanni. He taught me how to pronounce words correctly in the beautiful Italian language. Signor Giovanni, if you read my review, know I will return to you!

Had two excellent lunches here and contrary to some other places on the eolian islands this place does not charge excessive tourist prices. We had great chicken with excellent tasty skin, juicy meat and a nice sweet sauce. The octopus salad was very good as well with the octopus having the right consistency.
