Bar Sole — Restaurant in Livorno

Avoid this place. We unfortunately visited here today. Ordered bruschetta. The knife could not cut the solid bread. This wasn't toasted, this was stale bread. Almost impossible to chew. Both myself and my husband tried it and it was inedible. Sent it back and the cook came marching out waving the plate shouting that this is what tuscan bread is! We have an Italian son in law , this is not typical Italian food! In addition to poor food and humiliating service, the toilet was very dirty. The edges of the floor had not seen a mop in years. The dead cockroach added to the overall effect. There must be plenty nicer and cleaner cafes with more pleasant staff so don't waste...

Ordered 2 americanos, asked if they had double shot and the very bored waitress said the medium americano has double shot. Then proceeded to charge us for an extra espresso shot. 5 euros for mediocre americano in nowhere-town in Italy is quite the nerve considering Pisa and Lucca proper quality coffee and half the price. Service terrible and disinterested, left before we were done talking. Also her clothes were dirty? We sat at their outside terrace and were eaten by mosquitos. 12,5 euros for 2 coffees, 1 water and mosquito...

Waited a bit to be recognized by one of the waiters (young girl) but my order of one drink came pretty fast! Afterwards I asked for the menu, which was brought by an older lady (blond) who was more than friendly and professional! I had the lasagne which was delicious! I would recommend this place definitely (therefor 5 stars) but please talk to that young lady about her way to work and to show...
