La Piazzetta — Restaurant in Loiri-Poltu Santu Paolu/Loiri Porto San Paolo

The food was very good here. Unfortunately, it was let down by the service from our waitress. We had initially entered the main bar area before realising we would need to order from a table, so we went to sit at a table because no one appeared to acknowledge us. But then a waitress (who was to be our main one) moved us to the table next to it, we assumed this meant it was reserved, but it wasn't. No one came and sat there the entire time we were here. The waitress appeared frustrated with us, rolling her eyes, and we felt unwelcome. There were no salt or condiments on our table, but there was on all the others. Our table didn't appear to be set up except for the brown paper that would be the placemats. We took a salt from another table because we couldn't get the waitress' attention, the waitress swiftly took it back and put it on the table it came from. Did not bring us salt due to their not being one. Once our food and drinks were provided, there was no follow-up to check if the food was ok or if we wanted anything else. We felt awkward during our meal and wanted to leave, but had ordered by this point. When it came to paying, it wasn't clear if we would pay at the table or not. We couldn't get the waitress' attention, so we went up to pay at the bar. The barmaid was very friendly and helpful. And so were the other waitresses. But the waitress serving us made us not want to return. This was our 1st full day, so we were trying to understand how it works here, having never been to Sardinia before. I was here to eat and by accident I used the toilet for the staf. (In my defence, the door was open and I saw the toilet right away and I just travelled and was very tired). I closed the door and before I opened the door again I saw the bags of the staf. I was so ashamed that i didn't see it before and I hurried back to my seat. The cook came to my table and was angry with me for using the bathroom. I apologised but I didn't feel good afterwards about it. Afain, i'm really sorry for not paying attention enough. Asked for camel yellow cigarretes, had two options 5,50€ soft 6€ hard, offered me the hard, they processed for payment, I kindly request to swap for the 5,50€ camel soft and been told that can not, because it was ready for payment. Really easy to swap it, but the person who attended me, didn't wanted to swap, good way to take more money, but not a good way to do customer service.
