We are a family of 4 with two children - 6 and 10. We couldn’t taste the food at all, we entered the restaurant and didn’t see any staff around so we sat at a table. Most tables were dirty with leftovers so we found one that looked clean. 10 minutes later a waitress showed up and started cleaning the table next to us ignoring us for a while, then she looked at me, didn’t even bother coming to us and said “may I help you”, I said we wanted to have lunch. Her words were “ the kitchen is closed and in Italy, you should first ask for the table before sitting” ( I would if there was someone around). We got ready to leave and as she was walking by us she said something to the people sitting next to us in Italian and they all laughed. She actually did the same thing with another customer who was asking for lunch before us before starting to clean the tables. Even if the place has the best food in Sardinia, I would never ever recommend it with staff making their customers feel so unwelcome. If by any chance, this waitress is reading, I hope you feel good about yourself treating...
Read moreHad lunch here a few times as we had a half board set up with a local resort. This is supposed to be a "gastronomia," so by definition, local food prepared in situ that you can take away or eat in if there are tables. Vizi e sfizi has a semi restaurant set up where you have waiters and tables. In peak time, you might have to wait to be seated and served. This wasn't the case for us at the end of August. Staff very friendly, struggled a bit with English, but they did their best. Luckily, I'm fluent in Italian. Prices are OK, you do get good portions and good food, just don't expect a gourmet place. We ate only seafood throughout our holiday, octopus salad, prawn salad, grilled lobster, grilled fish mix, fried calamari are some of the dishes we tried and they were good. My wife loved the pistachio semifreddo...
Read moreRather disappointing experience. Frito misto €16 contained squid (which was rubbery i think it was from frozen) prawns in shells and with veins still on and 2 baby octopus. Spaghetti with seafood €14 had unpealed prawns with veins, crab legs with no meat, some mussels and clams. Both dishes lacked any seasonings or depth of flavour and were utterly unpleasant to eat. The shells & veins on the prawns are a big no no. Baby octopus in spicy sauce €9 was just boiled baby octopus in tomato sauce; no spice or seasoning whatsoever. Pizza was OK and probably the best of the whole lot. I was very underwhelmed and disappointed. Waiters were polite and obliging, spoke English. We odered about 19:10 and received dishes about 30 min after. Lods of flies once the food arrivesm Quality /...
