Al Girarrosto — Restaurant in Loreto

Finishing up my meal as we speak. A group of four, we arrived a bit before 2 PM. We asked right away if the kitchen was still open and if they had gluten free options. They said that the kitchen was closing but that there were a few first and second courses still available. Another table of 6 arrived shortly after and were also seated. It took 20 minutes to take our order, and when the waiter took our order just about all of the second courses were no longer available. Finally we ordered and waited and waited. Beer came luke warm. Twice. The second table received mounds of food as we were still waiting for our first course. The sides didn't arrive with our second courses, one salad got lost in some black hole in the kitchen and never arrived. The waiter was visibly trying his best, his assistant in the dining room hardly. The other table received heaping second courses and halfway through eating we saw the cook come out and buddy up with the other table. Now it all makes sense why we were treated like second class citizens and they were treated liked royalty. It's a shame because the food in se is not bad, just the quality of service and ability to execute simple orders. If you're thinking of stopping here as drop in clients I'd strongly advise against it.

Post edit: they made me pay for the salad that never showed up saying the only salad on the table (a singular portion) was meant for two....

Tre persone, tre primi due contorni 2 calici di vino e acqua. Il menù è costituito da menù carne o pesce a prezzo fisso. É possibile ordinare piatti singoli ma l offerta è modesta. 7 primi e sei secondi di cui due diversi dal menù. Non esistono antipasti, né compaiono dessert o altro. Gentili ed educati i camerieri, e il buono finisce qui. Ordinate due tagliatelle alla marinara e 1 tagliolino alle cozze e mojito, e due verdure grigliate. Arrivato per primo il tagliolino. Cozze prive di sapore alcune lunghe 2 centimetri, secche e immangiabili. Presenza di crosta secca e amarissima di lime in una nuvola grigia di pepe nel sugo. Solo dopo che questo piatto era ormai tristemente consumato, arrivavano le verdure e su sollecito sono arrivate le tagliatelle alla marinara. Le tagliatelle appiccicate tra loro, le vongole erano tutte chiuse, le cozze come già detto per il piatto di tagliolini, le seppie gommose. Le verdure gratinate erano crude, dure non commestibili. Sospetto che il pesce fosse tutto surgelato ma non abbiamo visto annotazioni sul menù. Che dire? 64 € di cibo pessimo, mangiato solo per fame, e mal servito, una delle peggiori esperienze mai provate. Credo che la cucina marchigiana...

La grigliata più triste che abbia mai mangiato!! Premetto conosco il posto e ci sono stata in altre occasioni ma questa volta ha proprio toppato .Con mio marito decidiamo di farci una bella grigliata di carne con un semplice contorno di patate e nient’altro, invece quello che ci arriva è: 2 piccoli spiedini una mezza salsiccia un quarto di non so che tipo di volatile e una mini costina di agnello ( avrei dovuto fare foto per rendere meglio l’idea) Mi lamento con il cameriere chiedendogli se questa è una porzione intera oppure mezza. Mi risponde che avrebbe chiesto in cucina e fa ritorno quasi alla fine del pasto con un piatto pieno di roba dicendo che dalla cucina ci manda un rinforzo. Apprezziamo ma poi capiamo che il cibo è freddo e sicuramente sarà stato un avanzo. Perciò pago , la cameriera mi chiede se poi è andato tutto bene e io gli rispondo che non era la grigliata che mi aspettavo di mangiare al prezzo di 16 euro.
