La Perla Beach — Restaurant in Marciana

What can I say? We would have liked to write something here about the food, the service and the view. Unfortunately, something went wrong with the reservation. Can happen, no idea honestly where the error was, can happen. But what left us really perplexed and also disappointed / offended in the end, is how the situation was solved. We were shown the reservation book and then we were just left standing at the entrance. On careful inquiry, we were then told that everything was also booked. Not very appreciative. How would it have been with "maybe I can offer you a table tomorrow" or "can I make you something delicious to take away" or simply "sorry that something went wrong"? Just as a suggestion, then two almost-guests do not have to puzzle the whole evening about how they were treated.

It is particularly surprising that we have otherwise made completely different experiences in recent years on Elba. Goes differently and better, perhaps in terms of service at Osteria Mare (Enfola) or Molo G (Portoferraio) something to look off?

Unfortunately no recommendation! During the day in the snack bar, by the way, also from the tone rather "dry"... but OK, beach...

This was the worst dining experience of a wonderful holiday, which was super disappointing as the restaurant was recommended by our hotel. The food came out super fast. I ordered pasta vogole (clams) and a mixed salad. The pasta was tasty, but only came with 4 clams. The lettuce in the salad was completely brown and looked like it was two days old. When I complained to one of the servers about the salad she quickly went and got whom I’m assuming was the manager. He was so incredibly rude that it was shocking - he said something along the lines of “it’s not possible”, gesturing that the restaurant was full, when I said that the salad wasn’t good as the lettuce was clearly old. He barely glanced at it. I didn’t eat my salad and was still charged for it. This restaurant is probably good for locals, but I would advise non-Italians to avoid it or you might get old food and...

La Perla – Genuss mit Meeresblick auf Elba

Das Restaurant La Perla auf der wunderschönen Insel Elba bietet seinen Gästen ein kulinarisches Erlebnis der gehobenen Klasse – und das in einer traumhaften Lage mit direktem Blick aufs Meer. Das stilvolle Ambiente lädt sofort zum Verweilen ein: elegant, ruhig und dennoch ungezwungen. Besonders abends, wenn die Sonne langsam über dem Wasser untergeht, wird der Besuch hier zu einem echten Highlight.

Schon beim Betreten fällt die Sauberkeit des Lokals positiv auf. Alles wirkt gepflegt und mit viel Liebe zum Detail gestaltet. Das Personal ist überaus freundlich, professionell und aufmerksam – ohne dabei aufdringlich zu sein. Man merkt deutlich, dass hier Wert auf exklusiven Service gelegt wird.

Die Küche zielt darauf ab, ein besonderes Geschmackserlebnis zu bieten – mit hochwertigen Zutaten, ansprechender Präsentation und kreativen Kombinationen. Die Preise spiegeln diesen Anspruch wider: Für ein gutes Gericht zahlt man hier ab etwa 20 Euro, wir haben pro Person rund 60 Euro ausgegeben – ein Preis, der angesichts der Qualität und des Rahmens gerechtfertigt erscheint.

Als Vorspeise habe ich gefüllte Tortellini mit Fisch gewählt – geschmacklich sehr fein und perfekt als Einstieg. Das Thunfischsteak als Hauptgericht war ein echtes Highlight: außen mit einer köstlichen Pistazienkruste, innen zart und saftig. Die Portion war großzügig bemessen, fast schon üppig. Allerdings war das Steak leicht fettig, was bei Fisch in dieser Form nicht jedermanns Sache sein dürfte. Dazu wurde ein Marilleneis serviert – eine Kombination, die für meinen Geschmack nicht ganz stimmig war, da sie eher zur Nachspeise gepasst hätte. Dennoch war die Gesamtkomposition ansprechend und sorgfältig durchdacht.

Fazit: La Perla ist eine Top-Adresse für alle, die auf Elba edel speisen möchten – mit großartigem Ausblick, gehobenem Service und spannender Küche. Kleine Schwächen in der Kombination einzelner Komponenten trüben das Erlebnis kaum. Wer bereit ist, für Qualität und Atmosphäre etwas mehr zu investieren, wird hier definitiv auf seine...
