Ristorante Dolphin Bay — Restaurant in Marciana

Watch out on the prices. We give this place a chance every once in a while as the location is nice and convenient. Over the years they have changed the organisation quite a few times but have never really aced it. Mostly the issue is the waiting time for your food and inconsistency in the quality. Last time we were surprised by the quality of the hospitality and given how friendly they were opted for the fish of the day - big mistake. The fish was delicious but honestly had I known we were going to be charged 65 per person for a a fillet of turbot and some veggies on the side I would have ordered something else. Same thing happened to the table next to us. Btw we did the same thing in another place on the island some weeks ago and paid about 35 euros per person for...

The place is fairly good, kind and attentive service. Alas, NEVER order the fish by the weight, we had a turbot that was accounted at 130 euros (100/kg as stated on the menu). Enough to stay away.

EDIT: the fact that the price per kilo (better, the price per 100gr) was stated on the menu doesn’t change anything. The fish was not weighted, nor did anyone tell us that we would pay €130 for it. This kind of dishonest behaviour is very typical and can be configured as a scam. They did the same with a nearby table, serving a sea bream for €90 (met the ladies the day after at La Guardiola, a great place for lunch on the edge of the same...

While I have been in Italy only 5 days (Lecco, Milan, and Elba). I have to say both meals I have had there were the best. The dishes beat anything I have had so far at any restaraunt here in Italy. The pictures won't compare to the delight your taste buds will experience. They deserve a professional photographer to stage them properly not my cell phone camera. In addition to the wonderful menu you will enjoy the atmosphere. With open air dining you will enjoy views of the bay. Very classy ambiance that is not pretentious....
