Gotha Restaurant — Restaurant in Martina Franca

We came to Gotha as a group of nine, excited to enjoy what was supposed to be one of the best dinners of our trip.

We genuinely don’t understand what went wrong. We chose this restaurant based on its glowing reviews and had high expectations, especially as it was our only dinner in town. Sadly, the experience turned out to be a disappointment.

The starters were a letdown, both the tuna tataki and seabass ceviche were underwhelming in taste and freshness. The bread served at the beginning was stale, and the arancini, offered as a chef’s treat, tasted below average and lacked texture or flavor.

For mains, the risotto and tortelli were passable, but nothing memorable. The gnocchi was overcooked and mushy, and the calamari was so oversalted it was nearly inedible.

If you like more sophisticated food, this place is a good place for you. They really take care on the style of your food, use different tastes & spices and experiment with textures (e.g. for the Tartuffe they used espresso sorbet instead of the regular way of preparation) I also really liked the online reservation that worked for a spontaneous visit There is just one thing that they should improve: there is no menu for veggie people. So it was quite hard to choose a meal. They were really helpful and changed a course for me. But it would be much more convenient and relaxed if they just add some vegetarian alternatives on the menu and mark them as...

Really pretty atmosphere. Lucent decor and decorations. Down a flight of stairs and into this lovely Court yard.

Staff were friendly and attentive. Spoke great English and had English menu.

They sorted my 2 year old son straight away which made life easy. We got a lovely amuse bouche from the chef which was delicious! So kind and stunningly presented like the rest of the nights food. All the food was seasoned to perfection and really tasty. Would highly recommended coming to this place. A welcome break from pizza!
