Bar Pasticceria Messina — Restaurant in Messina

The waiter was visibly and reasonably stressed out. Totally unorganised. Over 1h waiting for 4 ice creams cups, they come to tell Strawberries is out after 30 min and then we see other 30+/- people come out with Strawberries ice cream. We had to ask 3 times to the waiter and twice at the bar for our order. Comes to pay and they charged service fee (on the menu advertised as bar fee) which I contested as there was no service. Cashier rude as hell. In his opinion it was fair to charge. Quality really scarce. Would not recommend. Again, no fault to the waiter. Perhaps they could try get more staff to cover the floor and behind the bar and the cashier could focus more on doing his job and less on listening to messages on his phone and petting...

I had the pleasure of stopping by Bar Pasticceria Messina both for breakfast and lunch, and it was an absolutely wonderful experience each time. Breakfast was rich and delicious, with freshly made pastries and a perfectly brewed coffee. Lunch was just as impressive, with well-prepared and flavorful dishes that exceeded my expectations. Amazing spot for granita, gelato and brioche. Everything is made fresh and in house and it all tastes delicious. In the singer you can seat outside in their patio and enjoy a sweet treat. I have also tried their cakes and pastries and I've never been disappointed.

Their pistachios ice cream is really good. The granita comes in multiple flavors and favorites are lemon and strawberries. Their coffee flavor is also yummy. Their homemade cream is also to die for.

Pro tip: order a few of the small brioches instead...
