L'Oste Italiano is a true hidden gem that has redefined my understanding of Italian risotto. My recent dining experience there was nothing short of extraordinary, leaving an indelible mark on my taste buds and my heart as a risotto lover. The claim of serving the best risotto ever is not an exaggeration – it's an understatement. The risotto at L'Oste Italiano was a revelation, a symphony of flavors that unfolded with every spoonful. The oxtail was a revelation of tenderness and depth, infusing the dish with a richness that was unparalleled.
The traditional atmosphere at L'Oste Italiano is a charming embrace of Italy's culinary heritage. From the moment I stepped in, I felt transported to a rustic Italian trattoria where tradition and passion collide. The warm ambiance sets the stage for an authentic dining experience that's both nostalgic and enchanting. Acompanying this feeling was the abscence of english speeech. Thank god the casheer spoke some. The menus are in Italian, so prepare the Google photo translator.

Read moreIf you are in Milan and looking for an authentic Milanese Restaurant, this is the place you must go. They offer a wide range of different Risottos from the typical Milanese Risotto Saffron, Risotto Saffron with Osso Bucco or Stracotto(beef braised for hours in red wine) to Risotto with meat paste Nduja, to creamy scamorza cheese with apples and Italian Bacon, Risotto with mushrooms and a lot more. If you are not in the mood to eat Risotto, they also offer some Primi like Spaghetti all Chitarra and Pizzocherie. My favorites are Osso Bucco and Stracotto. Whenever I feel like to eat just Risotto, I would always order the speck, scamorza and green apples or the spicy and creamy Nduja with scamorza. They are mouth-watering and just really delicious. As for the dessert, they have the best Tiramisu in town, so you better reserve it already...
