Osteria Valtellina — Restaurant in Milan

This place is always magical. The renewal of the interior making it brighter is an absolute plus; it used to be very dark in the main room. The food is amazing with a top quality for choice, presentation, cooked perfectly. The directors of the restaurant know how to do the job but they definitely need to work on the waiters and rest of the staff. The entrees didn't arrive all together and we needed to ask a few times. We had to wait an awful lot between the starters and the main course, which put off a lot of the people sitting with us. The restaurant was nicely decorated. It was really cozy. We sat near the wood burner. The service and food was excellent! We ordered two types of appetizers, the gli sciatt and the porcini polenta. They were both delicious! Three of us ordered the Pizzoccherie con casera. We were not disappointed! The other two ordered Le Manfrigole. They were not disappointed either! I recently dined at Osteria Valtellina in Milan, and it was an excellent experience. The service was outstanding, with very friendly and attentive staff.

The food was a highlight: I absolutely loved the beef tartar appetizer and the rabbit main dish. The veal was also very pleasing. The restaurant offers a great wine list and multiple dessert options, with my favorite being the Tartan.
