Real Fini Baia del Re Hotel Ristorante — Restaurant in Modena

Comfortable room with aircon, decent shower, good selection of toiletries in bathroom, handy location for visiting motorsport valley locations (e.g. Ferrari museums in Modena/Maranello, Lamborghini & Pagani factories) but not perfect.||||Large car park in which we were happy to leave our sports car (although there was also a garage as well). For those with a Tesla there are loads of charging bays behind the hotel building.||||Hotel restaurant was good for dinner - we ate there 2 nights out of 3. Simple but tasty local specialities e.g. a chicken breast with Parmesan cheese, ham & balsamic vinegar, tasty lamb chops served with potatoes, very generous starter of tagliatelle with Morel mushrooms, chocolate torte, risotto with asparagus and Taleggio cheese. We didn't try the tortellini in brodo but the spinach & ricotta tortellini were good.||||You definitely need a car if you're staying here - it's a really handy location just off the main Milan-Ancona motorway. As the hotel is on a main road, even if there are a couple of other restaurants less than 1 km away, you won't want to walk there as there is no pavement and the trucks whizz past. Taxi to Modena is around 25-30 Euros each way.||||Breakfast was a let down - awful coffee from the machine in the breakfast room (bad even by the very low standards of Italian hotel breakfasts), very slow toaster, and the staff couldn't keep up with demand - the 3 nights we stayed, I had to ask for cereal bowls, spoons, bread for the toaster as...

Come mi piace fare spesso, al fine di compilare una recensione che sia la più precisa e puntuale possibile, anche questa volta mi accingo a dare un voto per ogni singola cosa notata e poi alla fine si tireranno le somme (ed il voto medio). Vado ad incominciare... |10 alla posizione (vicinissimo all'uscita dell'autostrada, ma nonostante ciò abbastanza silenzioso e non appestato da gas di scarico);|10 al parcheggio (grande, comodo e gratuito);|8 alla Reception (media tra il 4 della sgradita sorpresa dell'aver previsto inizialmente la mia camera nella dependance, il 10 della gentilezza, dopo le mie rimostranze, nel trovarmi una stanza nel corpo centrale dell'hotel ed il 10 in generale, per i rapporti avuti durante il soggiorno, compreso l'averci permesso un piccolo "late check-out");|10 al letto della camera (immenso quasi al punto da necessitare di google maps per trovare la posizione precisa di tutti gli occupanti);|9 al bagno (buona metratura ed ottima la fornitura di prodotti);|9 alla camera (non immensa, ma ampiamente sufficiente e corredata di simpatico terrazzino, seppur vuoto) |4 ai servizi presenti (nel giudizio pesano parecchio il telefono muto e l'illuminazione scarsa: peraltro la lampada sul tavolo, quella su cui facevamo il maggior affidamento per vederci, ogni tanto si "staccava" ed occorreva aprire il pannello dei salvavita e riattaccare il collegamento, come insegnatoci dalla cameriera);|3 all'insonorizzazione (in realtà il problema non era nemmeno tanto quello del rumore proveniente da altre parti, ma il fatto che la parete su cui poggiava la testata del nostro letto non era di mattoni, ma di cartongesso(?), per cui insomma quando dall'altra parte si appoggiavano alla loro testata, di qua si sobbalzava);|9 alla palestra (non immensa, ma adeguatissima a far trascorrere un po' di tempo in maniera simpatica);|8 alla SPA: (poche cose, tra cui una doccia in cui non funzionava il pulsante del getto idromassaggio. Non è un gioiello eccezionale, ma è comunque una cosa veramente piacevole di cui poter approfittare, peraltro senza sovrapprezzi di alcun genere. Suggerisco però di cambiare quanto riportato nel foglio in camera, nonchè in ascensore, dove si trovano orari di apertura inesatti);|10 alla colazione (essendo un 4*, offrire una buona colazione, com'è questa, dovrebbe essere pressochè normale. La particolarità di quest'albergo è però rappresentata dalla cameriera Domenica, che unisce una gentilezza da competizione europea ad una dolcezza ed una disponibilità corredate da un sorriso, sempre stampato sul viso, così solare da rasserenare anche le giornate più buie e piovose).|Fatti i conti, il voto medio è 9, che però rimane in attesa di omologazione, dato che mi sovviene or ora il fatto che, seppur indicato nella conferma di prenotazione ricevuta via mail, non ci è stato offerto il "Welcome drink" al nostro arrivo: vorrà dire che me lo aspetto doppio nel caso dovessi tornare in questo hotel in futuro. |In realtà devo dire onestamente che tutto ciò che può non essere stato assolutamente perfetto viene abbondantemente ammantato dall'eccezionale rapporto qualità/prezzo: io sarò stato anche fortunato a trovare un'offerta splendida, ma 50 euro al giorno, per una doppia, è un prezzo che fa diventare il telefono muto un oggetto di design, la lampada malconcia un simpatico antistress, gli orari sbagliati della SPA un divertente giochino matematico,...
