During our month-long stay in Montecarlo, my wife, our friends, and I stumbled upon the hidden gem that is La Dolce Vitae. What began as a casual visit to purchase wine turned into an unforgettable experience that set the tone for our entire stay.
The owners Mara and Alessandro, bartender Max, and waitstaff Christina, Enza, Julia, and Chiara made us feel at home.
Max, the talented bartender, went above and beyond to craft exceptional cocktails including my own special cocktail, the 528 Cocktail, which he even placed on the menu. Did I mention that there are complimentary snacks served with cocktails. We called it the House of Food because the 6 or 7 various snacks came in bowls in a little metal house.
The Pacchero Pesto topped with creamy burrata was our favorite dish. The homemade pacchero pasta cooked to perfection and smothered in flavorful pesto sauce was taken to new heights with the addition of creamy burrata cheese. The combination of vibrant flavors and luxurious textures made each bite a delight.
From the moment we entered La Dolce Vitae, we were greeted with warmth and familiarity. The staff's ability to remember our names and make us feel like cherished regulars was heartwarming. It felt like I was Norm from Cheers, because I was welcomed with a joyful chorus of "John!" upon arrival.
I highly recommend a visit to La Dolce Vitae when in Montecarlo. Whether you're seeking outstanding cocktails, a memorable dining experience, or the chance to enjoy my special concoction, the 528, this restaurant exceeds expectations. From savoring the first sip to relishing the last bite, every moment spent at La Dolce Vitae will leave you with...
Read moreI am writing this comment to be the most honest about the situation. For the Dolce Vitae staff i dont want your downfall it’s for improvement and to avoid those kind situations in the future. At first, we arrived everything was going well we ordered our food the staff was nice nothing to say. But then…after waiting for around 45 minutes we started to wonder what was going on. We tried to reach our server multiples times but it was a failure. We wait a little more and then decided that it would be better to leave. When we asked to get the check the meals arrived. As a respect for the food we decided to stay but we were extremely disappointed. Some of the food was still cold or not well cooked. The quantity were very small we had to snack at home after. We had to get frustrated and mad to get what we paid for and it don’t think that’s what should happen. We tried our best to stay calm and respectful but when we got the first half of the plates we asked for the rest and the server asked us multiples times what we wanted and didn’t brought us our cocktails until we asked him again. Although i would like to highlight that one of the member of the staff offered us our cocktails to apologise and another server apologised as well. We didn’t watch the restaurant reviews before going but we should have. The restaurant wasn’t full when we came and we still decided to give it a try. It might have good reviews on other websites but for my experience i would not highly rate it. For now i wouldn’t recommend that restaurant but i sincerely hope that it will improve. As a reminder this is not a hate message just a...
Read moreWARNING ⚠️⚠️⚠️ There is a good reason why their grade is lower than other restaurants around! From the service to the meals everything was awful! We waited 50min even if the restaurant was almost empty! And only after complaining we got our meals when we were about to leave because our waitress never came to see us once after we ordered to ask how things were going! Plus we ordered 2 Spritz and we only got them after complaining!! Finally when we got our meals for some of them the quantity wasn’t enough (literally 6 raviolis)plus it was frozen food??!Apparently it was homemade 🤨(The ravioli were still frozen in some parts!) In the end they told us that the Spritz were a gift(but they still made us pay for the water!!!)
Fortunately a waiter(which he told us wasn’t working that day) came to apologize 🙏
DONT COME...
