Ristorante Bistrot Lo Zero — Restaurant in Montespertoli

We had an absolutely magical night at Bistro Lo Zero. It’s apparent that the service is excellent for all customers, but because I happened to mention that we’d love a great table because we’re on our honeymoon, they went above and beyond to make it special for us. If you’re staying anywhere near Montespertoli, you won’t regret making a special pilgrimage to this gourmet restaurant with a family restaurant level of personal service. The food is spectacular. The best we’ve had in Italy. The evening started with them showing us to a wonderful table and treating us to some sparkling wine and several amuse boucbe that were out of this world. We had an incredible pasta course followed by stunning second courses of tuna steak done to perfection for me and beef cheek for my husband who said it was one of the best beef dishes he has had in his life. With our dessert course they brought out a sparkling candle on a plate with a greeting for our wedding written in caramel sauce. We hope we get to go...

The food is incredible and the service even more so. The dishes were fresh and creative without trying to hard. The menu offers enough choices without being overwhelming.

The chef delighted us with some extras like some Prosecco at the start and a pea soup with local olive oil and seeds followed by a freshly breaker multi grain roll.

We chose the egg, the cuttlefish pasta and the amberjack fish dish to share and were surprised by how wonderful each dish was.

We finished with the ossobucco cheesecake and the tiramisu and they too were wonderful.

This is a lovely lovely place and a total hidden gem. Don’t miss it.

Found this diamond of a food experience on a rainy Thursday night. Just Sweetie (the wife), me and another couple at a different. Chef Marcella personally presented her creations and it was an culinary adventure. A multitasker of seafood (tuna arancini, salmon sushi deep fried, snapper) followed by main courses of seared tuna and bronzino. Prefectly paired wines.

Finally, desserts of an imaginative and inspired style and flavor. A reimagined tiramisu, sensuous and elegant, and an orange semifreddo to make you fall back in love with its’ existence.
