Pizzeria De Stefano — Restaurant in Naples

Fantastic pizza and even more enjoyable service!

At an outside table on their relatively quiet side street, we had the fiore de zucchini (fried zucchini blossoms stuffed with ricotta), a margherita originale, a margherita provola, and some beer. Everything was great. In particular, I really liked the natural sweetness of the sauce as it was less heavily salted than at the more famous places we’ve tried.

The service was also lovely. Front man Lello Raffaele was sweet and welcoming. As we were the only ones there, early, as Americans do, while a few dozen pizzas went out for delivery, we chatted on and off (and never intrusively). I felt welcomed back on my great grandparents’ behalf. And at the end of the meal, he surprised us with two gifts we enjoyed but didn’t ask for. And one I didn’t notice until after we left!

Probably the best pizza my girlfriend and I have ever had, and we’ve had lots of pizza. We were the only ones in the place at the time but the atmosphere was still great and luis the owner was a gentleman. We talked the universal language of football. Luis, we will be back my friend. Whatever you do, go here and you will not be disappointed. The white wine was also very nice and generously poured. Can’t recommend highly enough, I’ll remember this...

Sono stato a vedere una commedia al Teatro Diana e alla fine volevo mangiare una pizza in zona, ma tutti i locali nel cuore della collina partenopea erano pienissimi e con file enormi in attesa. Andando a recuperare la macchina parcheggiata nei pressi dello Stadio Collana, in una traversina poco frequentata, via Beniamino Cesi, mi sono imbattuto nella pizzeria De Stefano. C'erano ancora due tavoli disponibili sul soppalco ed io e mia moglie, colpiti anche dall'accoglienza del titolare abbiamo deciso di fermarci qui. È stata una piacevole scoperta, in quanto in questa pizzeria a conduzione familiare abbiamo sentito il calore e l'attenzione dei gestori che ti fanno percepire che il cliente è al centro della loro attenzione e non è una cosa scontata.
