Restaurant on Etna with a wonderful view. We tried pasta alla Norma here and it was delicious, better than some places in Catania. We tried the Lava liqueur, which warmed us up well, and you must try it, I'm sure you've never tried anything like it. The restaurant is very comfortable, has a lot of space and a good selection of food. There are pastries and fast food that can be served immediately, but also dishes made to order, such as pasta, various meats and the like. The treats are also very tasty. We also tried the white wine, which was excellent. There is also a gondola next to the restaurant but we didn't go because of the strong wind and it is a bit more expensive, there are also many souvenir shops where everything is made of lava stone and you can also take stones from Etna as a souvenir and memory. The weather was very bad for us, so we didn't go far, but there are many hiking trails and craters that you can visit. This restaurant is extremely disorganized and lacks any standard of service. The front counter was chaotic, with people cutting in line and no signage to guide the ordering process. I ordered a coffee, and after paying, I received neither a receipt nor any confirmation.

I stood waiting for several minutes. Even when the staff weren’t busy, no one started making my coffee. I had to remind them that I had ordered an Americano (which cost €2.80), at which point one of them finally began preparing it. However, halfway through, he left to attend to something else, leaving the espresso to over-extract for several minutes.

When I asked again if my coffee was ready, the cashier went to the machine, pressed the extraction button again, and simply added hot water. I was shocked and asked if the coffee had been extracted twice. He replied, “That’s how we do it here,” and handed it to me with a very rude attitude.
