We came here only because other restaurants were closed on Monday, and this place had good reviews. Unfortunately, our experience will now join the negative ones. We arrived tired from the road, but the service was incredibly slow. The waitress took a long time to assist us, and people who arrived after us received menus faster. However, it’s clear that this is the owner’s issue, as there simply weren’t enough staff. We’ve been to many places in Italy, but the food here was of shockingly poor quality.
The dishes tasted cheap, as if they were just reheated ready meals from Lidl. The restaurant also smelled terrible — people were vaping inside the dining area — and the restroom was extremely dirty.
To top it off, the lasagna was missing at least three top layers, and the €20 meat platter was a rip-off, with half the plate consisting of lard. They even charged us €3 for tap water. Absolutely disappointing. Would never come back.
*Update:
We arrived at the restaurant at 5:50 PM and waited about 15 minutes just to receive the menu. The food wasn’t served until 6:55 PM. We’ve visited over 20 cities in Italy and have never encountered any issues with bringing our dog to a restaurant. If there are restrictions, please clearly state that the restaurant is not Dog Friendly to avoid misunderstandings.
The experience with the senior woman was especially unpleasant—she refused to communicate in any language other than Italian and was rude when we tried to speak with her. Are you seriously claiming that we don’t communicate in English? How else would we have written such detailed reviews?
We have no complaints about the young waitress—she was polite and did her best to serve us well despite being visibly overwhelmed. It’s clear that the restaurant is understaffed. She was taking orders, serving drinks, slicing cold cuts, and doing everything by herself. The owner should seriously consider hiring more staff.
Speaking of the owner—he is an incredibly unprofessional manager. Instead of fixing the numerous issues in his restaurant, he spends time writing angry comments everywhere. Perhaps he should focus on improving his business first before attacking customers.
And at the very least, buy a proper...
Read moreI rarely leave negative reviews, but this was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had in Italia
Overpriced & Limited Menu – The prices are shockingly high for what you get. The menu itself is very limited, with little variety. To make it worse, pizza is only served after 6 p.m., which is unusual and inconvenient. There are no vegan options in main course whatsoever.
Tiny Portions with No Clarity, the portions were extremely small, especially for seafood dishes. There were no explanations or descriptions of the food, either in Italian or English, so you don’t know what you’re eating or how it’s prepared. Even the “English menu” was vague and unclear.
No Explanations of the Food as dishes were dropped on the table with no explanation at all. We had no idea what we were eating, which made the whole experience uncomfortable.
Unfriendly Service from one of the staff members, the older woman serving us, was cold, dismissive, and seemed annoyed at our presence from the start. We didn’t feel welcomed at all.
Language Barrier Handled Rudely it is totally understood that not everyone speaks English, but instead of patience, we got hostility. When we tried to use Google Translate to communicate, she acted irritated and even aggressive.
Incorrect Orders, and part of our order never arrived. Only after asking again did they give us the rest, and even then, we had to take it away. We ordered soda with lemon, but were brought plain soda instead.
Overall Atmosphere unfortunately between the lack of communication, unwelcoming attitude, and mistakes, the entire experience was unpleasant. We even felt like we were treated differently, which left us deeply disappointed.
Bottom line: If you want to enjoy good food and feel like a valued guest, avoid this place. There are many wonderful restaurants in San Donà and Caorle, but sadly, this is not...
Read moreAvoid this PLACE , very bad service and low-quality food! THIS IS A SHAME FOR ITALY! I do not recommend! It is better to be hungry , than to come here! The owner apparently fakes reviews or these are his friends, because everything that is written there does not correspond to reality!
UPDATE:
Instead of fixing the problems your customers point out, you just aggressively snap at everyone who leaves a bad review. That’s incredibly unprofessional coming from a business owner. Honestly, your staff messed up—we speak English perfectly fine, unlike your older waitress, who doesn’t even know the basics of English!
We’ve been all over Italy, and we’re big fans of Italian food. Everywhere else, we’ve been welcomed with our dog, but in your place, we got nothing but bad vibes, also the smell of electronic cigarettes was horrible!
How is it okay that people who came after us got their menus first? And waiting almost an hour for some cheap reheated lasagna in an empty restaurant? That’s just not it,...
