If you’re chasing the la dolce vita lifestyle, look no further than this gem. The aperitivo at La Dolce Vita Café is an absolute dream — effortlessly blending elegance, flavour, and that laid-back Italian charm. From the moment the first Spritz arrived at the table, perfectly balanced and chilled to perfection, I knew I was in for something special. The drink menu is well curated, with classic Italian cocktails (Spritz lovers, rejoice!) and a few house specialties that truly hit the mark. What really sets this place apart is the aperitivo spread — not just a bowl of crisps and olives, but a thoughtful assortment of small bites. Generous, fresh, and beautifully presented. The atmosphere is peak Italian summer, filled with locals. Friendly staff top it all off with service that feels personal but never overbearing. A must-visit if you’re after an authentic and indulgent aperitivo hour. This is la dolce vita served on a platter.

Possibly the best place we found during our week long visit to Olbia. In the morning it is full of locals on the way to work, grabbing their coffee al banco before a big day. Everyone seems to know each other and you see many waves and yells of “ciao!” as a customer enters. The espresso and pistachio cornetto are to die for and price is incredibly reasonable. €5 for 2 cappuccino and 2 cornetto! In the evening it is the stereotypical aperitivo hour but done in the best way. The aperol spritz was the best we had in the city and the meat and cheese plate varied day to day but was always exceptional. We also tried the local wine, verementino di Gallura, which is excellent. The staff were friendly and welcoming and greeted us like friends! Special mention to Chris who worked in the evenings and was a ray of sunshine. I will be sad to leave La Dolce Vita behind!

Our favorite cafe in Olbia. After stepping off the ferry, we were craving our morning ritual – rich cappuccini and buttery cornetti. This little cafe didn't just deliver; it exceeded every expectation. From the moment we walked through the door, we were embraced by genuine Italian hospitality. The staff here aren't just serving coffee – they're crafting experiences with infectious enthusiasm and authentic care that transforms a simple caffeine stop into a memorable highlight of your Sardinian adventure.
