A beautifully decorated, themed restaurant perfect for if you fancy a change from the lovely Italian cuisine.
The only negative, but a very important one is the lack of customer service from the staff. On entering, we saw the restaurant is less than half full, there is a sign that asks you to wait to be seated, so we did, only to be ignored by 5 different staff members, no recognition or friendly gestures that showed us they were aware of our presence even though they saw us waiting there. A couple arrived before us, but they walked back out. We decided to walk further in to the restaurant and approach one of the waiters who had walked past us half a dozen times & kindly ask if it was possible to have a table for 2.
After we got seated, a table next to us who arrived after us was served their drinks before our order had even been taken.
When our food arrived, it was quickly placed down but there was no offer of condiments and the waiter rushed off before we even had chance to ask.
A waitress cleaned one of the tables next to us, wiping crumbs & a small wooden skewer on the floor and made no attempt to clean them up, she even stood on the skewer, ignored it & left it on the floor.
It’s a real shame that the customer service is so poor because the restaurant is decorated absolutely beautifully & could do so well if the staffs attitude matched the standard of the theme & decoration. I’m sure the owner would be very upset to know that the staff he hires are...
Read moreI pointed out that a beer they had on the menu is racist, derogartory and not appropriate in this day and age. The male server went into a fit about Americans shooting each other for about 5 minutes disturbing me and other guests. I told him I'm not American, but the establishment he works in portrays the old West of America. "I will never go to America" and "we won't change the name of 'Red Skin' just because one person finds it offensive" were a few of his loud retorts. My response to the latter was "have you heard about the tragedies that occurred at Canadian Residential Schools". He said he didn't care. He told me to go back to American and stay out of Italy. Well I have news for him, Italian's don't think he's Italian because he's Sardinian. 😂😂😂 He called me a few words under his breathe in Italian as he walked away probably because he made me laugh instead of making me angry. My response was "you should see what we used to call you guys in Canada when I was growing up. It's not pleasant."
When I left I gave the female server a big tip because she was nice and actually brought my food & was busy cleaning table while the male yelled at me.
I told her to tell the male to watch Undercover Boss because you never know who you are serving. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 The look on her face was worth the high price of the...
Read moreIt’s nice to see a themed restaurant in an area where everything is literally either Pizza, Pasta or fish! We hadn’t intended to eat here, we just noticed it after visiting the Mall, so entered from the “front” which was up some extremely dark wooden steps. Please sort some lights out for here! As we entered the restaurant it barely got brighter! People around us using their phone torches to read the menus!!! Ok, so it’s part of the theme I get it, but a bit brighter lights wouldn’t hurt. A good choice on the menu. Our food was quite nice although not exceptional, probably expected a bit better to be honest. The staff seemed very rushed, no one came back to ask if our food was ok or if we wanted more drinks. We exited through what we saw as the reade which turns out is the front (up...
