We stayed in the area and decided to head over to this nearby restaurant. When we came in, we were a bit surprised at what was going on. People were waiting in front of us (some left), and we noticed several things not quite right. There were A LOT of dirty tables with no customers - literally half the restaurant. I'm not sure if they were short-staffed due to the holiday, but staff seemed to be doing every job - a bit chaotic. When it was our turn to ask for a table for two, a waitress had to clean a table for us to be seated. It took some time from coming through the door to seated. There was also a rather large mess of dishes gathering on the bar and the table nearest the bar - closest area to new customers 😕. Now for the bright spot of the visit - the meal. I wasn't quite sure what to expect, but glad we stuck it out. Our drinks ordered and food order in was very quick, and the drinks to table was very fast. Our starter of homemade chips, bacon, and cheese would have been amazing if a different cheese was used. The chips and bacon were great. For our main, we ordered the Tutti Insieme (mixed meat plater with roasted potatoes). This came put at a decent time and was a huge serving hahaha. Everything was great - we actually couldn't finish it. Hats off to the cooks for putting out this great dish all cooked perfectly. Last point - this place will seem a bit out of place to most - it kind of struck me as an American pub. Not the last Italian restaurant before you...
Read moreSurprisingly good for a restaurant at such a random location. We walked in for a quick lunch between a visit to the decathlon and a long drive and were pleasantly surprised. The restaurant had a very “American” feel to it and felt like a holiday within a holiday.
They have a big selection of drinks including nonalcoholic and craft drinks like a Sicilian cola.
We had the fried mozzarella as a starter that came with a very nice sauce. The burger was excellent!! They didn’t ask us how we wanted the patty cooked but served it slightly pink on the inside which was perfect. The ribeye was massive and served with a generous amount of potatoes and salad. The only downside was for preparation they only had 3 options. Rare, medium or well done. In my opinion ribeye is best when prepared medium-rare, but I still enjoyed it as a rare.
When walking in they said it was cash only, but then they had QR-code payment at the table which was very easy and efficient as it...
Read moreThe place is surprisingly open until very late (23:30) which is rare in Olbia. I arrived at 22:15, I was stood up without any service for nearly 10 mins before someone offered to seat me.
Our waitress who took our orders was nice but some staffs seemed annoyed as we asked for more drink and food before the closing time. My salad was served dry…no oil or salt offered. I just ate as it was…I didn’t finish as I felt like I was chewing raw grasses and I didn’t bother to ask for dressing.
It could have been handled differently, we would also understand if they just told us that it was too late or asked us to leave, we had no problem. I know that they might have been tired and wanted to go home but expressing such an unfriendly attitude wasn’t very nice (especially one girl with glasses).
Anyway, I didn’t leave any tips cos I was upset. Not sure if my friends did but I...
