My partner and I had an amazing experience at this place. We stumbled upon it, looked intrigued as the decor was amazing and the waiters very friendly. We started off with a few glasses of wine, and the son of the owners Alberto was extremely knowledgeable and friendly with his service. Afterwards we went to the wine shop at the back with him and he talked to us about all the wines, both cheap and expensive, and it was just overall a fun time. It is these types of commerces that may sometimes slip under the radar when in fact it should be the ones that stand out. You can’t beat the authenticity and passion of the owners. I highly highly recommend visiting this place and purchasing some wine. Their wine shop is very intimate and they only buy it though direct connections with the winery that the grandfather set up in the 60s, another great sign that they have this relationship with the producers. I’ve asked staff if they have a garden on one of the sides of the restaurant because thro the door you could see some green plants and they had a good laugh at me, super rude staff when I asked if the bruschetta with three types of olive oil isn’t to heavy on the taste waitress said I don’t know your digestive system. Da anni frequento assiduamente il Carlos, siamo diventati presto amici, tanto da considerare questo storico luogo orbetellano come una seconda casa. A chi mai verrebbe in mente di recensire una serata “a casa di amici”?! Ci ho pensato solo adesso, e quindi sono qui per dire che non importa quanto tempo abbiate, se quello di un saluto e un caffè o quello di una chiacchierata durante una cena, al Carlos troverete una famiglia che vi tratterà come tale. Offrendovi solo i prodotti migliori della nostra terra, scelti con un’esperienza mai vantata ma tangibile, dai taglieri ai vini, con un’ enoteca degna di prestigio.
