The food was tasty, the place is nice but the attitude of the bald waiter that doesn’t speak english leaves a lot to be desired. When asking for a second meal, I showed him the plate from the menu in english, tried to say it in italian also, but he was already pissed off so he called in another waiter (a woman with perfect english, 10/10 for her) saying “cosa vuole questa….?” My italian is bad but it was enough to understand that he insulted me thinking I wouldn’t get it. He was very dry and distant from the start when taking our order, I asked what kind of sausage and meat was being used in a plate, he answered: Salsiccia (as if I’m supposed to know everything) but that didn’t seem a red flag at that time. Because of his lack of interest I ended up not eating that plate (pasta with salsiccia- it was too fat for me) so I had to order a steak. If you end up going there I hope you will be attended by someone else, because that man ruined my night. Also the service can be a bit slow, we had to ask twice...

During our vacation, the four of us had the pleasure of dining at this wonderful restaurant, and we couldn’t be happier with our choice. The staff was incredibly friendly, speaking perfect English and even a bit of German, which made us feel very welcome 😊.

The menu offers a great variety, from fresh fish to vegan and vegetarian options 💚, all of which were of high quality and incredibly fresh. Every dish we tried was simply delicious 😋, and the prices were more than fair for the quality of the food.

La Corte degli Ulivi è un buon ristorante salentino che si trova nel centro storico di Vignacastrisi, a pochi passi da Castro. Ho avuto l’occasione di cenare con un gruppo di amici ed è stata una bella esperienza. Abbiamo ordinato due Antipasti della corte per tutti, ed in più con un amico ho ordinato un Crudo di mare da dividere in due. Ho scelto di non prendere nessun primo, ed ho ordinato come secondo il Polpo scottato su crema di ceci. Abbiamo finito con il sorbetto al limone. Sono rimasto un po’ deluso perché gli antipasti della corte erano pochi, mentre l'antipasto crudo di mare era in quantità onesta ma poco saporito, nonostante abbia notato la freschezza del pesce. Il secondo era eccellente, il polpo cotto alla perfezione e la crema di ceci era buonissima. Ho anche avuto modo di assaggiare il primo Orecchiette al tris pomodorini, alici, panfritto ed erano molto buone e saporite. Anche il sorbetto, molto buono. Da bere abbiamo ordinato una bottiglia di bianco e acqua. Abbiamo pagato 34 euro a testa, un prezzo onesto considerando la qualità degli ingredienti. Il servizio è stato impeccabile, la cameriera era molto gentile e simpatica. Inoltre, abbiamo prenotato il pomeriggio per la sera e non abbiamo avuto difficoltà a trovare posto all'ora scelta da noi. Il ristorante si sviluppa sia al chiuso in un ambiente elegante sia all’aperto nel bellissimo giardino che ospita diversi tavoli. Il giardino è molto ben curato ed è l’ideale per godersi il fresco dopo una giornata al mare sotto il sole. La ciliegina sulla torta è una piscinetta al centro che rende il posto ancora più elegante. Trovare parcheggio è facile, vicino al ristorante c’è un parco pubblico dove è possibile stazionare gratuitamente.
