Amazing dinner in Ostuni, the best we had during our stay! We love the authentic Italian food (we are from Veneto, Italy) and this place delighted us with incredible dishes. We had burrata with capocollo as appetizer, orecchiette with cima di rapa and taralli, and fish as a second course. Everything was delicious and every little detail was played to perfection. The service was amazing, friendly very dedicated and competent. We asked for suggestions on both wine and food and we had fantastic recommendations! The owner is young and professional, you can see the love he has for his job. In our opinion, this place is the best in Ostuni in terms of food! Premessa: nel mio giudizio cerco di essere obiettivo senza nessun interesse nello screditare o sopravvalutare il ristorante, cercando di riportare l'esperienza vissuta in modo reale in modo tale che magari la mia critica sia costruttiva. In ogni caso de gustibus non disputandum est, in cucina è anche questione di gusti.

Sono passati diversi giorni dalla nostra cena in questo locale e sinceramente non sapevo se lasciare o meno la recensione, ma ripensandoci a distanza ho scelto di lasciarla. Il tavolo che ci è stato dato era in un'ottima posizione con affaccio sulla spiaggia sottostante, davvero un bel panorama, forse poco illuminato ma accettabile. Ordinato sautè di cozze e vongole, che non c'era sul menu, ma all'ordinazione non ci è stata fatta nessuna rimostranza. Ci è stato portato Sautè di cozze, come da menu, molto buono anche se le cozze erano un po' piccole rispetto ai nostri standard, ma forse perché erano nostrane. Chiesto del vino in calice, che non ho voluto assaggiare ma avrei apprezzato che la ragazza avesse servito prima mia moglie invece di me ed avrei preferito trovare già del pane al tavolo invece di doverlo chiedere. Ci sono state cambiate però tra una portata e l'altra tutte le posate senza richiederlo. Il primo preso orecchiette al tonno era davvero ottimo, mi è piaciuto tantissimo (vedi foto), anche le orecchiette pomodoro e ricotta salata prese da mia moglie erano deliziose. La margherita di nostra figlia era discreta. La nota dolente è arrivata con la frittura (vedi foto) che per noi era troppo avanti con la cottura, ne abbiamo mangiato circa metà in due ma a fatica ad essere onesto. Lo abbiamo fatto presente alla cameriera che ci aveva chiesto se andava tutto bene, la quale ci ha detto che se l'avessimo fatto presente prima ce l'avrebbe cambiata ma ormai avevamo finito la cena. I dessert, spumotti, anche sono stati ottimi, squisiti. In generale una buona cena peccato per la frittura. Il proprietario ci ha tolto 4 euro dal conto finale e mi ricordo che c'erano stati un po' di problemi con la linea del bancomat. Tanto dovevo, saluti e buona cena.

We wanted to dine outside of the main square and were so happy we did! The atmosphere here is gorgeous and feels like you’re dining in a luxurious grotto. The service was amazing and our server made some awesome suggestions including wine pairings for our dishes. We we’re hoping to get the mussels to start but since it’s lower season, they didn’t have many left. The server offered to make us a seafood pasta instead which was so delicious we didn’t want the plate to end! We also had the prawn & swordfish bean soup which was hearty and tasty.
