Travelling 4,000 miles to visit my grandparents hometown for the first time, while visiting this absolutely gorgeous town, then to come here to this wonderful place, that has been more than welcoming, kind and to make me feel like I am home, is more than words would be sufficient to even try to begin to describe.

I am beyond grateful to the owner, staff and the locals that have been so amazing to me for over a week I have been here almost every day. Thank you "Gigi" for the diner and warm welcome. Not so many places to eat in Piacentro during summertime without a reservation. After a few unsuccessful attempts, we finally came on the "Piazza del Popolo" and sat down on Gigi's terrace : this was actually a really good choice. L'idea era di fare un pranzo velece, ci sediamo alle 12.45, attendiamo almeno un 15 miniti solo per l'arrivo della cameriera. Cameriera per niente preparata sui cibi che avrebbero potuto servirci, fatto sta che ci accontentiamo di tre tost prosciutto e sottiletta e una piadina (perché avevano solo 3 tost), in altrrnativa ci proponeva dei tramezzini confezionati che posso comprare al supermercato. Abbiamo dovuto ricordare noi di portarci anche da bere (2 acque gasate, 1 naturale e una cola) che ci porta sbagliate e quindi altra attesa, non ci porta nemmeno dei bicchieri. I nostri "piatti" alla fine ci vengono serviti alle 13.20 Qualità del cibo nulla di che ovviamente. Proprietario del bar si rivela scortese con altri clienti che si lamentavano dell'attesa. Bagno con porta e sciacquone mal funzionanti. Che dire... Una brutta esperienza, sconsiglio di pranzare lì.
