dining room is historical - it was once used to house horses & pigs - notice the hooks on the vaulted ceiling. The owner, of four years, pays special attention to detail, making improvements all the time including plans to install a high pressure air system to keep flies away from the outdoor veranda seating and quell the noise of passing traffic. food is very special with a nod to local tradition and creative influences while keeping ingredients local and fresh including the vino. wishing also for a price fixed menu turistico to satisfy the chefs recommendation for daily choices that form a complete meal with wine pairings. after exhausting all the primos & secondi's ; it's worth trying the pizza which is the best in town with a special light...

We ate here (at least once) every day during our week-long stay in Pacentro (Abruzzo region). The warm welcome from the owners made us feel like family, and the food was the best we had on our trip to the Abruzzo. Over the course of many days, we enjoyed fantastic pasta(s), excellent pizza, and a very good steak with porcini mushrooms. The elegant/rustic atmosphere is also lovely. For someone visiting the area, it is definitely worth a special visit to dine here. Very reasonable prices for the quality and the experience. Peccato, la prima sera abbiamo cenato con mia moglie e il cane in questo locale e non è andata male , a parte la posizione molto sacrificata per via del cane e il caldo nel locale perché privo di aria condizionata, cameriera tuttavia molto gentile. 2 giorni dopo chiamo per 2 pizze da asporto e dall'altra parte del telefono trovo una persona molto scocciata e svogliata che sembra aver problemi con le pizze da fare in asporto ( non so per quale motivo) e mi viene indicato come orario le 21.00 . Chaimo per le 20.30 chiedendo di tardare 10 minuti la preparazione delle pizze per un piccolo contrattempo e la stessa persona svogliata mi dice che non c'è problema. Il caso vuole che riesco comunque ad arrivare per le 21 alla pizzeria e trovo le mie pizze sul bancone ....già ponte....chiedo da quanto è mi dicono 10 minuti...... Bene Arrivo a casa ( 3 minuti a piedi) apro il cartone trovo la mozzarella tutta appiccicata al cartone e le pizze fredde , immangiabili. Inutile dire che dopo la prima fetta le abbiamo lasciate. Per concludere, innanzitutto la disponibilità col cliente quando si ha un locale sarebbe buona norma, e su una pizza d'asporto mi sembra il minimo. Poi seconda cosa, quando si viene Pagati anche solo per 2 pizze sarebbe buona norma lavorare con criterio e non proporre un rimborso quando ormai il pasticcio è fatto.
