Maybe it was the fact that they asked if we preferred an English menu, but the idea of slow food concept I thought it meant reasonably casual dining, not service that was basically non-existent. The server couldn’t grasp that we wanted some appetizers to start, then wanted first course decision immediately. Then brought one of the first course meal at the same time as the two others appetizers. The other two main courses appeared, then our server ghosted us for nearly an hour except for scooping up our first course plates. Our desire for any more food disappeared after sitting so long and had to raise my voice to ask for the check as he almost blew by us to the great unknown area behind the terrace. Add to these insults was some of the most unbelievably unimaginative food. A rocket and mushroom salad without arugula or any seasoning or dressing.Ravioli with tomato sauce that tasted like something from a jar. Pasta with a touch of truffle and saffron without any saffron taste or color. It left us with a sense that “Americans stay away” from our town. As a second generation Italian-American I take offense. I heard a lot of good things about this place prior to going there and unfortunately we did not have the same experience that others did. The view is beautiful on their patio but that’s the only positive comment I can make unfortunately. We knew going in that the portions were smaller than other restaurants in the area but the quality was really good. The food was decent but was absolutely not worth the price for what you get. We also paid 15 euros for potatoes for the table for 5 people and it was basically enough to feed 2 people and most of them weren’t even cooked and they were extremely bland. The pasta I ordered was terrible. The noodles were way too soft and there was basically a pinch of ricotta even though it was a ricotta based pasta. They also messed up two of our orders. I would recommend saving your money and going to Majella or going a little further out to Masseria La Rocca. This place was absolutely not...

A previously magic night, despite the fact that we had booked for 22.00 - was ruined by the unfriendliness of the staff. They refused our entrance around that time. A real disappointment that came to my utmost surprise in the day of my girlfriend's birthday because we had booked a cake for her to celebrate, which was not even in the orders' list. We had carefully booked there thanks to our host in Sulmona, and the request was clearly specified for that night in front of us! The filthy staff pretended it was never made! We suggest staying away from this place if you need to book in advance, probably it's only a good option if you're wondering around 8.00 PM in the town of Pacentro and no other alternative is available. After that time, of course, they'll invite you to step out of the canteen where the restaurant is based because they will have already serviced the tables necessary to keep them...

Sono stato in questo posto in data 17/08/2020 con la mia fidanzata. Da premettere che son venuto almeno 4 volte mi son trovato sempre bene. Mancavo in questo luogo da 5 anni, da quando ho scoperto la celiachia; ho provato a prenotare e mi hanno garantito alcune pietanze senza glutine: devo dire che da questo punto di vista non vi sono stati problemi! Una volta giunti al ristorante ci vien detto che possiamo tranquillamente ordinare i primi e i secondi; cosi la mia fidanzata ( celiaca anche lei) ordina la pasta con zafferano e tartufo bianco , mentre io una bistecca; ordiniamo un buon CERASULO, PRAESIDIUM. Dopo poco mi vien detto che non posso mangiare nessun tipo di carne perchè sulla griglia ci fanno anche il pane ad abbrustolire ( possibile che questo luogo nominato nella guida Michelin sia cosi diventato cosi disorganizzato?), decido, allora, di prendere un primo con ricotta e guanciale. Dopo 20 min arrivano i primi tanto attesi: erano stracolmi di olio entrambi!!!( guardate le foto). Terminati i primi chiediamo il conto al cameriere e spieghiamo che sono stati due primi pessimi. Il cameriere riferisce tutto al proprietario che, quando andiamo a pagare, alla nostra lamentela, semplicemente afferma: STARANNO SOTTO PRESSIONE!!! Il locale non era pienissimo e i camerieri non andavano con chissà quale passo frenetico, lo stesso dicasi per la cucina dove piu che altro ho intravisto una donna dal viso molto scocciato. Il conto? 39 ma solo perchè ha cercato di rimediare, difatti subito dopo ci ha dato quella insipida risposta. È davvero un peccato, a me piaceva molto quel posto ma... dopo la risposta cosi sgarbata, non posso che non tornarci piu e cosi anche la mia famiglia che è stata a cena poco tempo fa riferendomi che la cucina è peggiorata. Appello a chi fa l'elenco della guida Michelin: VI CONSIGLIO DI RIVEDERE IL TUTTO!!! Siamo nel 2020 e tutti, celiaci e non, meritano di essere trattati per bene.

same family that owns & operates Posta Pacentrana, with highest standards & excellent quality. the tasting menu €35 is exceptional: antipasto, plus - 3 kinds of homemade pasta, plus secondi protein course, local bottle of organic vino sfuso, and a dolce vino too, the dolce course is a perfect complement, hot backed fresh bread, locally sourced spring water (eco-friendly without bottle, but rather served in a carafe); friendly helpful knowledgeable staff staff, all in a huge palazzo with a view. best culinary experience in the entire world, in a town whose name means - the center of peace - Pacentro

Beautiful place for dinner! We did the 40€ tasting menu and it was wonderful. We shared the goat cheese and guanciale, chicken ragu (best “chicken noodle soup” version I’ve ever had), lamb ragu. Then we each picked our own meat. We ordered and shared the sliced beef, lamb chops, and leg of lamb. We all thought the leg of lamb was the best. Sitting outside and watching the sunset was amazing.
