At the end of a residential road that peters out at the beach amongst small copses of trees, this shack-like beach bar has its own parking area, garden area and direct access to a relatively uncrowded sandy beach just 20 metres away. Like the rest of littoral around here, very popular with locals and mainland Italians, with German being perhaps the next most heard language, but not a lot of that, and very few Brits. Has the usual range of Eurofizz beers, including the Heineken-owned local brewery, Ichnusa, but also Ichnusa’s unfiltered beer, which definitely has a malty ale taste to it and probably meets CAMRA’s rules to be designated Real Ale in a Bottle. A range of wines and spirits, with a small cocktail offering. Foodwise, there are croissants for breakfast and a range of pastries/cakes, and a page long list of paninis, the Sardinian sausage one being noteworthy. We came here twice. The first time, we only ordered cocktails. The drinks were okay, but it took a very long time before they arrived.
We decided to give it another try a couple of days later, but that turned out to be a mistake. The woman hosting was extremely unfriendly and refused to speak English, even after I explained I didn’t understand Italian. When I tried to use a translator, she just kept shouting things in Italian — very unpleasant and unprofessional.
When the food finally arrived, I got a plain hamburger with just bread — no sauce, no toppings, nothing at all. On top of that, we noticed that the price of the cocktails had gone up compared to two days before.

Alex (proprietario e barman) è una persona squisita sempre disponibile e cerca sempre di accontentare il cliente portando rispetto e mai scontroso . Anche se le giornate nere capitano a tutti lui non lo dà mai a vedere sempre solare e con la sua passione per la musica durante tutto l orario di apertura mette brani moooolto orecchiabili spaziando in vari generi per tutti i gusti……. Che dire più consiglio vivamente di passare aSl Bar le Palme a conoscere lo staff. Anche solo per un aperitivo pomeridiano e vi catturerà come ha fatto con la mia famiglia e amici.,.. Avendo lavorato e trascorso periodi all estero parla anche inglese e tedesco ….non poca cosa per clientela estera che regolarmente raggiunge il locale . Posso dire che se si va per curiosità e per giudicare si rimane pienamente soddisfatti… Dimenticavo….
