B Corner - Best Beer & Burger House — Restaurant in Pescara

This is an open letter to the owners (in place of a review) of B CORNER - BEST BEER & BURGER HOUSE, Pescara - ... Having heard the reputation of this restaurant, as burger aficionados, we were there to try out everything we could, and enjoy the variety of styles and tastes that were offered. So, in addition to burgers, we planned to order a wide variety of sides – just have a fun experience. Last week’s experience at this establishment was terrible. The bottom line is that your server has no idea of quality service. A nice enough fellow with zero training, and also no common sense. It began with making a reservation for 4 at 7:30 pm. On arrival, one of the people in my party told the server who we were, and also told him that we brought their 3-year-old along, so we needed a table for 5. Incredibly, the server’s response was to pick up the reservation form and argue that the reservation was for 4! He argued with her! (I am still shaking my head over that one.) Anyhow, at that hour, the restaurant had 3 other tables with guests, leaving a dozen vacant. The server chose to put us into the only corner table there, where the 4th chair is locked in (seated person can’t get out without others getting up and moving out of the way). And, when ordering, the seated guest cannot talk directly to the server, cannot be served his own platter, (has to be handed over by other guests), and also the server can’t clear used dishes. This was the worst possible table to seat a party when there were 10 other tables available at that moment! As with most other restaurants, the menu is online. We are all English-speakers, so we asked for a paper menu, and he brought one – for a table of 5! And it runs 5 pages! The server repeatedly asked for our orders, even after I told him directly to slow down and let us read the menu. He kept returning and insisting that he take our orders. (He never did figure out that we wanted more time). This is a MEAT serving pace, claiming great burgers. Perhaps you don’t know that meat is served with a variety of temperatures – rare, medium rare, medium, and so on. When taking our orders, he never once asked how we wanted the burgers cooked. (I actually asked for a rare burger, but since I was seated in that horrible corner chair, he never heard me!) There are a dozen different burger toppings – with the constant pressure of this server, we never did get a chance to read, understand, discuss, and order the different toppings – we just took them as they were delivered. There are also a variety of French fries, each of which sounded very interesting. We never did get him to hear that we wanted a plate of each kind. I asked for a side salad. THAT he heard. What I got was sliced iceberg lettuce on a plate. No dressing, no tomato, no onion - nothing else.

ALL burgers are quite large, look great, were all cooked medium, and had zero seasoning. None! Not even a touch of salt. A grilled medium-cooked burger with no seasoning looks great – and is tasteless. And this is a famous burger place? We each had our burger with French fries, and on the table are tiny packets of ketchup. We promptly ran out. I asked for more ketchup. Nothing came. (If I wasn’t locked into my corner seat, I would have found some myself!) I had to ask three (3) different times for more ketchup, and more tiny packets finally showed up. How about a bottle or two? During dinner, I asked for another round of drinks. Of the 4 on the table, he brought 2! The good part is that the interior is beautiful, all dark wood, nicely decorated, and quite charming. From the street through the huge windows, and when inside, it really is cozy and peasant to look at. Enjoy a beer – there are many - just don’t bother to eat there. Ho scoperto questo locale grazie a TheFork. In occasione del Black Friday, TheFork offriva uno sconto del 20% su un buono, così ne ho approfittato e ho cercato un ristorante a Pescara. Avevo voglia di un hamburger e tra le varie opzioni disponibili, B Corner mi ha ispirato fiducia.

Location e Atmosfera Il locale mi è piaciuto molto per il suo stile rustico e accogliente. Non è un fast food, ma ricorda esteticamente un’hamburgeria di qualità. L’atmosfera è piacevole, perfetta per una cena rilassata.

L'Esperienza Il Menu e la Qualità del Cibo: Ho ordinato un cheeseburger con carne di Rubia Gallega, una scelta un po' più costosa ma assolutamente ripagata. La carne era squisita, succosa e saporita, mentre il panino era ben assemblato e di ottima qualità. Le patatine fritte di contorno erano buone e accompagnate da una salsa chimicurry in omaggio.

Un suggerimento per il locale: nel mio ordine, la salsa nel panino non era inclusa, ma era disponibile con un costo aggiuntivo di 1€. Capisco l’idea di lasciare al cliente la libertà di scelta, ma penso che includere già una salsa abbinata nel prezzo migliorerebbe l’esperienza. Una salsa selezionata dallo chef valorizzerebbe ancora di più il panino, lasciando eventualmente al cliente la possibilità di modificarla.

Tempistiche e Servizio: Avevo letto recensioni che lamentavano lentezza nel servizio, ma nel mio caso l’attesa è stata nella media. Tuttavia, consiglio di servire le patatine fritte prima del panino: gustarle calde e croccanti nell’attesa renderebbe l’esperienza ancora più piacevole.

Il Pollo e il Dolce: Ho condiviso un piatto di pollo fritto con la mia ragazza. Era croccante e succoso, ma un po’ troppo piccante per i miei gusti, mentre la panatura l’ho trovata leggermente salata. Nonostante ciò, la qualità era indiscutibile. Per concludere, ho ordinato una cheesecake al Raffaello, un dolce perfetto per gli amanti del cocco come me. Era deliziosa e ben presentata.

Prezzo e Considerazioni Finali In totale, abbiamo speso 60€ per:

2 coperti (4€) 1 Coca Zero (3€) 2 tè alla pesca (6€) 1 bacon cheeseburger con Rubia Gallega e salsa smoky cheese (17€) 1 cheeseburger con Black Angus e salsa BBQ (11,50€) Alette di pollo fritte (5€, condivise) 1 acqua naturale (1,50€) 2 cheesecake al Raffaello (12€). Il prezzo potrebbe sembrare alto, ma la qualità giustifica pienamente la spesa. È un posto ideale per concedersi uno sfizio o per occasioni speciali. Se ci si limita a un panino, si può spendere intorno ai 20€, un prezzo ragionevole per la qualità e la quantità offerte. Inoltre, il locale è su TheFork, quindi consiglio di tenere d’occhio eventuali promozioni per risparmiare.

Conclusione B Corner è, senza dubbio, una delle migliori hamburgerie di Pescara. L’atmosfera è accogliente, il personale gentile e la qualità del cibo eccellente. Ho dato un voto 9/10 perché, pur essendo stato tutto quasi perfetto, non ho trovato quel piatto che mi facesse "cadere dalla sedia". Nonostante questo, il locale è assolutamente consigliato. Tornerò sicuramente, e questa volta porterò anche i miei amici: meritano di scoprire questo gioiello nascosto!

Personale educato e disponibile. Locale piccolo ma molto carino e caratteristico. Il cibo purtroppo è stato una delusione. Ho ordinato un panino con l'uovo e il tartufo. La qualità del pane era scadente e il panino non sapeva di niente, per nulla gustoso. Avevo forti aspettative ma sono rimasta molto delusa. Pessimo rapporto qualità -prezzo. Uno dei peggior panini che abbia mai mangiato. Il commento non vuole risultare offensivo, ha il mero scopo di raccontare la mia personale esperienza al fine di poter essere d'aiuto ad altri utenti.

In risposta alla replica dei gestori dell'attività: Purtroppo il rapporto qualità-prezzo e la correlata qualità del cibo utilizzato sono una percezione del consumatore. Può essere anche il miglior pane sulla faccia della terra, ma se il consumatore non lo percepisce come tale non serve a nulla. Ora sono informata circa la composizione del vostro pane, ma la mia opinione non varia, non basta solo l'informazione. Inoltre ho percepito il pizzico di sarcasmo nella frase "la nostra risposta non vuole sembrare offensiva, ha il mero scopo di informare gli utenti a farsi un'idea più chiara" riprendendo le parole precedentemente scritte da me. Sono risentita da questa cosa, non è stato educato. Certo dal vivo si può parlare tranquillamente, ma lo scopo delle recensioni è aiutare gli altri potenziali consumatori.
