As a wedding and event planner, I’m always on the hunt for places that deliver more than just great food, and this one truly checked every box. I’ve brought several clients and international guests here over the years, and every single experience has been absolutely wonderful.

Most recently, I had lunch there with some business clients—I really wanted them to discover this place. They were blown away by the warm hospitality, the laid-back vibe, and the incredible Sicilian food. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully plated. And can we talk about the garden? The moment you step into that lush little courtyard, you forget you’re in the middle of the city. It’s like entering a peaceful little world of its own—so serene, so magical.

What made the whole thing even more memorable was the series of cooking classes we arranged for my American clients. They came to Sicily looking for the real experience—and thanks to Guido and his amazing team, they got exactly that. They laughed, got their hands dirty, and made traditional arancini from scratch (with a lot of love and a little friendly competition!). For someone who doesn't cook, going to a cooking class is definitely not on the top of the list of things to do for me, especially when travelling abroad. But I have thoroughly enjoyed the cooking class at Garibaldi Kitchen! Under the watchful eyes of the chef and his assistant, we prepared arancini and pasta. While they are simple enough for me to complete, there are techniques you have to master. Had it not been the helping hands of the beautiful assistant, my pasta would have been a real flop. In addition, we also have the best cannoli we have had in Sicily, and of course the lemoncello! My partner and I happened upon this place whilst looking for somewhere to have a late lunch on a Sunday. Even though the restaurant was close to closing and had two big groups there already, the staff were extremely accommodating and friendly. The service was amazing and very personable.
