Pizza e Core pizza and cocktail Bar — Restaurant in Piazza Armerina

I don’t want to leave a bad review, but our experience was a bit confusing. The place is called a pizza & cocktail bar, yet we had to ask four times for a cocktail menu. The first person brought us a Coca-Cola, the second didn’t seem to understand, the third brought the wine list, and only the fourth finally told us that they didn’t have a cocktail menu at all. That felt a bit odd, given the name of the place — but fine, we moved on.

Then, when we wanted to order food, we explained that we had already eaten and just wanted to share a simple pizza. While one staff member was taking our order, another stood behind him and they had a brief exchange. After they understood us, they both started laughing. I’m not sure if it was about us, but it did feel that way — and that’s not the most welcoming feeling.

We had a fantastic dinner yesterday. Great cocktails, starters and mains and wine choice. All tasted and looked very fresh. For mains I had a pizza and my partner a pork tomahawk and both were absolutely gorgeous. We were too full (and tired) for dessert - so we will have to go again :) Service seemed stretched with 2 servers - that is the only reason i gave four stars. Both servers were super helpful, smiling and efficient, so kudos to them :) XX

P.S. - for starters we had Panelle with Lemon Carpaccio and Mortadella as well as Pork (Suino nero) metballs smothered in a glorious Caciocavallo sauce. Absolutely to...

Per raggiungerlo, basta parcheggiare nei pressi del monumento al Generale Cascino, quindi salire a piedi in direzione del teatro Garibaldi e quindi imboccare l’omonimo Corso. Pochi passi e troverete “Pizza e Core” alla vostra sinistra. Appena entrati vi sentirete subito a vostro agio, ottimamente accolti da uno staff di persone tanto gentili quanto professionali e preparate. Oltre ad una interessante varietà di antipasti e stuzzichini per tutti i gusti, troverete in menù ben 61 pizze, 58 delle quali cotte in forno a legna e 3 fritte, tutto come da migliore tradizione partenopea. La mia personale scelta è stata la “Vesuviana”, una squisitezza a base di provola campana, friarielli e salsiccia. Se amate le pizze in puro stile napoletano, con un impasto leggero a lenta lievitazione ed ottima alveolatura e condimenti di alta qualità, questo è secondo me il posto giusto.
